How to Solve Herodiana's Puzzle: The Hall of Herodiana Side Quest Walkthrough

How to Unlock The Hall of Herodiana and Location

During Search for the Final Keeper

You unlock The Hall of Herodiana by completing the first third of the Prepare for your Search for the Final Keeper task, meaning you have to complete the main quests The Helm of Urtkot, Beasts Class, and The Caretaker's Lunar Lament.

Additionally, you also have to learn Depulso from Professor Sharp's Assignment 1 to unlock The Hall of Herodiana.

The Hall of Herodiana Walkthrough

Objectives
1	Talk to Sophronia Franklin. Sophronia is standing by the paintings west of the Charms Classroom Floo Flame fast travel point.
2	Find the entrance to the Hall of Herodiana. Head all the way down to the ground floor of the Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower. The entrance to the Hall of Herodiana is south of the exit to the Transfiguration Courtyard.
2a	Use Depulso on the middle block of the red marble wall to reveal the entrance.
3	Enter the Hall of Herodiana.
4	Solve Herodiana's Puzzles (3) In the room with the first puzzle, simply use Depulso to push the yellow blocks towards the eastern wall. Climb up the box to climb up the wall. Open the chest to obtain Herodiana's Cape.
4a	For the second puzzle, follow these steps listed. Afterward, climb up the boxes and open the chest at the top to obtain Herodiana's Attire.
4b	For the third puzzle, follow these steps listed. Afterward, open the chest to obtain Herodiana's Cap.
5	Return to Sophronia. Head out the door directly to the east. Oddly enough, you'll come out the same place you entered. Fast travel back up to the Charms Classroom and talk to Sophronia, who's in the same spot. Talk to her to complete the quest.

How to Solve Herodiana's Second Puzzle

1. Facing west, use Depulso on the single block on the second level 2. Use Accio on the dual block on the ground level to pull it north. 3. Use Accio again on the dual block on the ground level to then pull it east. 4. Use Accio a final time on the dual block on the ground level to then pull it south. 5. Use Accio on the single block on the second level to pull it south. 6. Use Accio on the single block on the second level to pull it east.

4b. Solve Herodiana's Third Puzzle

How to Solve Herodiana's Third Puzzle

1. Use Accio to pull the blocks to the south wall. 2. Use Depulso to push the blocks to the switch. 3. Use Accio to pull the blocks to the north wall. 4. Climb up to the north wall. 5. Cross over the blocks to the other ledge on the north wall. 6. Hit the switch. 7. Use Accio to pull the blocks to the east wall. 8. Use Accio again to pull the blocks to the north wall. 9. Jump onto the blocks and climb the wall.

What to Do if Puzzle 3 is Bugged

Exit the Puzzle and Restart to Fix

Some players are reporting a different block formation for puzzle 3 which makes it impossible to solve. To fix this issue, simple head out of the entire Hall of Herodiana and re-enter with Depulso to reset everything. This should fix the glitched room and allow you to finish the final puzzle.

How to Fix Herodiana Puzzle 3 Bug

Some Bugs Cannot Be Fixed

In a different bug which Game8 team encountered, even though one of our members was able to complete the puzzle, the objective still read Solve Herodiana's Puzzles (2/3) even after continuing past it, making it impossible to complete. If this happens, unfortunately, you'll need to wait for a patch as this bug does not seem to have a solution.

Make Sure to Open the Chests

Each puzzle room has a chest located across the exit to the next room. Make sure to move the blocks to the position that'll allow you to reach them if you want to grab the following gear.

You Can Ask Sophronia for Gold

When talking to Sophronia to complete the quest, you can ask for a fee when she asks to see Herodiana's outfit. Simply select the dialogue option Yes, for a fee. in order to earn Gold for completing the quest.

Optional Depulso Puzzle Rooms Unlocked After Quest

After you complete this side quest, two more puzzle rooms will appear on the map. You can loot several treasure chests inside these rooms, so make sure to check them out!
