Spell Combination Practice 1 will be unlocked as part of the main quest Professor Hecat's Assignment 1.

| 1 | Talk to Lucan Brattleby Lucan can be found at the Clock Tower entrance. Ask him if you can use the training dummy and the side quest will begin. |
| 2 | Cast Accio followed by four consecutive basic attacks Aim at the training dummy and use Accio. While the dummy is still in the air, perform 4 basic attacks. |
| 3 | Cast Levioso followed by four consecutive basic attacks For the second combo, aim at the training dummy and use Levioso, then follow up with 4 basic attacks. |
| 4 | Complete spell combinations without allowing the dummy to hit the ground For the last combo, you need to combine both Levioso and Accio combos without letting the dummy fall. Aim at the dummy, cast Levioso and do 3 basic attacks. After the initial string, cast Accio, then do 4 basic attacks. |
| 5 | Obtain your reward Once you complete the three combos, you will get your reward and finish the side quest. |
To complete Professor Hecat's Assignment 1, you need to complete this combination practice.
You also need to complete both Crossed Wands: Round 1 and Round 2 side quests to complete this Assignment.
To successfully execute the combos, you need to do basic attacks right after casting a spell. This will damage the training dummy and keep it floating in the air for a few seconds.
If you do not perform any attacks after casting a spell, the dummy will fall and you need to start the combo again.
Playing on Story Mode difficulty will give you a prompt to skip the third combo if you are unable to perform the combo after a few attempts. If you are having a hard time landing this combo, you can change the difficulty in the pause menu to skip it.
