How to Complete Dueling Feats

In Hogwarts Legacy, Dueling Feats are Challenges that players can attempt to complete while in combat. Read on to learn more about how to complete Dueling Feats and what rewards you can get for completing them.

Steal a Ranger's Crossbow Bolt	When a ranger prepares to shoot at you, use Ancient Magic throw to steal their bolt.
Keep two enemies airborne at the same time	Use Accio and Levioso simultaneously, or unlock talents.
Summon 2 enemies simultaneously	Use Accio with Accio Mastery talent unlocked on two enemies.
Destroy the orb as it is charging up	Cast a spell that corresponds to the orb's color while a Pensieve Guardian is charigng its orb attack.
Catch and throw a disarmed weapon	Cast Expelliarmus at an enemy with a weapon, and use Ancient Magic throw on their weapon before it falls to the ground.
Flip a troll's club	Cast Flipendo after a troll charges towards you, misses, and hits the ground with its club.
Hit a troll with its own boulder	Block with Protego when the troll throws a boulder, and use Ancient Magic throw on the boulder.
Levitate a Dugbog	Cast Levioso when a Dugbog sticks out its tongue before attacking.
Slice a dangling Dugbog	Use Diffindo right after levitating a Dugbog with Levioso.
Flip a Dugbog onto its back	After a Dugbog leaps towards you, cast Flipendo or any force spell.
Flip a Dugbog While It's Waiting to Use Its Sneak Attack	Cast the Disillusionment spell to sneak up on a hiding Dugbog, then cast Flipendo before it notices you.
Use Depulso to launch an enemy into something	Bait an enemy to stand infront of the target object, then cast Depulso to throw the enemy back to hit the object.
Launch an enemy into a destructible object with Depulso	Bait an enemy near a red barrel, cast Glacius once it's lined up in front of it, and cast Depulso.
Ignite a shooter as it prepares to attack	Cast Confringo or Incendio on a spider while it is charging to attack.
Bury a spider's head into the ground	When it pulls back its head to prepare to attack, slow it with Arresto Momentum then cast Descendo.
Hit a flaming spider to blow it up	Cast Confringo or Incendio on a spider, then use basic cast.
Slow an Ashwinder Executioner after they release their lightning spell	Cast Arresto Momentum right after an Ashwinder casts their lightning spell.
Disarm an Ashwinder Executioner as they prepare their lightning spell	Cast Expelliarmus an Ashwinder while preparing to cast their lightning spell.
Interrupt a charging Mongrel with Depulso	Wait for a mongrel to charge towards you, then cast Depulso to throw them back.
Freeze a Poacher Stalker while they are readying their attack	As soon a the enemy waves their wand, cast Glacius to freeze them before attacking.
Use a mandrake against an enemy	Use a mandrake anytime during battle against any enemy.
Launch a burning enemy into another enemy	Ignite an enemy with Incendio, line it up with another enemy, then use Depulso to throw the burning enemy towards the other.
Slow a poacher after they release their blast attack	Cast Arresto Momentum while a poacher is casting their fire tornado or blast attack.

Completing Dueling Feats Challenges grants rewards for every number of challenges you've completed. Dueling Feats Rewards are gear appearances that you can wear in character customization.

These rewards are purely cosmetic and do not include stats when you apply them to your gear.

How to Complete Dueling Feats Fast

Go to Bandit Camps

The easiest way to complete Dueling Feats is to find bandit camps all over The Highlands. Approaching one activates the Dueling Feats on the right-side of the screen as these locations contain various enemies.

Compete in Battle Arenas

If you need a place to complete your Combat Challenges, the Dark Arts Battle Arena is one of the fastest places to do that. Not only can you defeat a required number of enemies in the arena, but you can also complete Dueling Feats challenges here.

Competing in a Battle Arena or Dark Arts Battle Arena allows you to practice fighting against waves of enemies that include trolls, goblins, and dark wizards, and more.

Dueling Feats Tips and Strategies

Perform the Prompt That Appears in Battle

Dueling Feats challenges appear above your assigned spells on the lower right side of the screen during battle. Perform the prompts listed before defeating all enemies to complete the Dueling Feats.

No Need to Complete all Dueling Feats Listed

When more than one Dueling Feats challenge is listed on your prompt, you do not need to complete all of them as the ones you finish will still register in your Challenges Menu.

As soon as the battle ends, you will see your completed prompts register at the top right corner of your screen as shown above.

Timing Matters

The timing of when to perform a challenge matters, since some of them require a specific moment for you to perform it correctly. For instance, some challenges require you to break an enemy's shield, and to do that you must wait for an enemy's shield to go up.

Set your Spells At the Start of Combat

As soon as the Dueling Feats list what challenges you should complete, set your spells right away at the beginning of the battle for easy access to what you need to complete the challenge. The game will pause while you set your spells, so you do not have to worry about your enemies while preparing.

Do not spam Basic Cast

If you want to complete Dueling Feats challenges, do not button mash the Basic Cast as you might kill your enemies before completing the challenge.

Basic Cast Effects and How to Get

Unlock Spells and Talents

Some Dueling Feats can only be completed after unlocking certain spells and talents. You can unlock spells by completing main quests and side quests. You can unlock talents after finishing the quest titled Jackdaw's Rest and gain talent points by leveling up.

What are Dueling Feats?

Optional Objectives in Combat

Dueling Feats are optional combat objectives that you can complete as part of the Combat Challenges. These challenges automatically initate upon entering combat, and may differ depending on who you're fighting and what items are available in the area.

While completing these challenges are not necessary, they provide players with additional ideas on how to approach a battle such as casting certain spells or utilizing different items.

Access through the Challenges Menu

You can access and track your Dueling Feats Challenges through the Challenges Menu. Open the Combat Challenges and find the challenge at the very bottom of the screen.

Note that you will first unlock Combat Challenges upon your first encounter with enemies while exploring the World Map outside of Hogwarts or Hogsmeade. You will unlock the World Map during The Girl from Uagadou Quest.

Complete Dueling Feats to Earn Bonus XP and Rewards

Completing Dueling Feats will not only grant you rewards and items, but will also allow you to finish Field Guide Challenges and in turn grant XP to players.
