The Sacking Selwyn side quest becomes available upon visiting Cragcroft for the first time. Since Cragcroft is located far from Hogwarts Castle, you can only easily visit there once you get your broom and are able to fly across the map.

| 1 | Talk to Hyacinth Olivier. Hyacith Olivier is standing by gravestones on a hill northwest of the Cragcroft Floo Flame fast travel point. |
| 2 |  Find Silvanus Selwyn's Hideout. Silvanus Selwyn's Hideout is located at Clagmar Castle in the Clagmar Coast region. Use your broom to fly there or fast travel to the Clagmar Castle Floo Flame. |
| 3 |  Defeat Silvanus Selwyn. Selywn is the bald man in green. There's about a dozen Ashwinders in the hideout, but you only need to defeat Selwyn to progress through the quest. |
| 4 |  Return to Hyacinth Olivier. Head back to Cragcroft and speak to Hyacinth Olivier, who's still in the same spot where you initially spoke to her, in order to complete the quest. |
You can identify which enemy is Silvanus Selwyn immediately by flying over Clagmar Castle with your broom then using Revelio. Silvanus Selwyn will be the enemy with the Infamous Foe symbol above his head.

When reporting back to Hyacinth Olivier, you can select the dialogue option I need a bigger reward. to earn 500 Gold as a reward, instead of the base 300 Gold reward for selecting the Happy to help. option.
