Part of Sebastian Sallow's Questline

In the Shadow of the Relic is unlocked as part of Sebastian Sallow's Relationship questline. In order to unlock it you'll first need to have completed all of the previous quests as listed above.

Additionally, although not part of the Sebastian questline, you'll also need to complete the main quest Lodgok's Loyalty then pass the time with other activities or quests for a bit before In the Shadow of the Relic unlocks.

In the Shadow of the Relic Walkthrough

Objectives
1	Talk to Ominis at the catacomb. Meet up with Ominis and Anne at the entrance of the Feldcroft Catacomb in the Feldcroft Region.
2	Defeat the Inferi. In the room you first encounter Inferi, head east to the room with the altar. Defeat all the Inferi there too.
3	Find Sebastian. After the cutscene with Ominis, head east through the skeleton door, then take the east path at the crossroads in the next room.
3a	You'll find stairs you need to build with skeleton bones. Use Accio on the handles on the walls to obtain bones, then Wingardium Leviosa to build the staircase. Sebastian can be found after the ledge.
4	Talk to Sebastian. Sebastian's uncle Solomon will show up and you'll have to defeat him.
5	Defend yourself against Solomon. Don't focus so much on the Inferi and use Ancient Magic Throw on Solomon. ▶︎ Solomon Sallow Boss Fight Guide
6	Follow Sebastian. Follow Sebastian through the catacomb to the other exit. Sebastian is a bit of a slow runner, so just don't leave his vicinity.
7	Talk to Sebastian. Talk to Sebastian outside and select the dialogue options Everyone should know that curse. and Yes please. to learn Avada Kedavra.
8	Learn Avada Kedavra. Guide the cursor along the lightning symbol shown on the screen until it reaches the end of the path. Press the buttons indicated as you progress down the lightning bolt.

Don't Focus on Inferi During Boss Fight

While fighting Solomon, don't focus on the Inferi, because waves of them will just keep coming. Instead, use Ancient Magic Throw to deplete Solomon's health quickly.

You could use the Inferi to charge up your Ancient Magic attacks, but using the Ancient Magic Throw is much faster and more readily available.

Select the Learn Curse Dialogue Option

When talking to Sebastian outside the catacomb, you'll be given 2 options: No one should know that curse and Everyone should know that curse.

If you want to learn the Unforgivable Curse spell Avada Kedavra, you'll have to select Everyone should know that curse and its follow-up dialogue Yes please.
