According to the Hogwarts Legacy FAQ, J.K. Rowling was not involved in the writing and creation of Hogwarts Legacy. But, given that it is set in the world she created, they collaborated with her team in order to create the game.
J.K. Rowling is an award-winning author, well known for writing the Harry Potter series which spanned 7 books. These books were adapted into 8 films.
J.K. Rowling has made several posts on Twitter regarding her stance on Transgender individuals and issues, which has not only sparked controversy, but caused a massive call to boycott the game.
This due to the fact that while J.K. Rowling is not directly involved in the creation of the game, she stands to earn from it regardless.
We know that's a diverse audience. For us, it's making sure that the audience, who always dreamed of having this game, had the opportunity to feel welcomed back. That they have a home here and that it's a good place to tell their story.
