Sebastian introduces you to his secret room, the Undercroft, and teaches you Confringo. |
| 2 | In the Shadow of the Estate (Main Quest) |
You witness Sebastian get into a fight with his uncle Solomon about his sister Anne's condition. Sebastian takes you to the place where Anne was cursed. You both discover a triptych that could be related to Anne's curse. |
| 3 | In the Shadow of the Bloodline | Sebastian thinks the key to curing Anne lies in Salazar Slytherin's scriptorium, but his best friend Ominis refuses to help due to his Slytherin family history. |
| 4 | In the Shadow of the Study | Ominis reluctantly gives you passageway to the scriptorium, where you have to cast Crucio to gain entry. There, you retrieve Salazar Slytherin's spellbook. |
| 5 | In the Shadow of Discovery | Through the spellbook, Sebastian learns of an old relic that could reverse curses. Ominis objects and warns of the dangers of following anything to do with Salazar Slytherin. |
| 6 | In the Shadow of Time | Sebastian finds the relic in the Feldcroft Catacombs. A note warns of a dark sacrifice that comes with the relic, but Sebastian takes it anyway, furthering the drift between him and Ominis. Shortly after, Feldcroft is attacked and Sebastian uses Imperio on a goblin to save Anne. Solomon witnesses this and bans Sebastian from seeing Anne. |
| 7 | In the Shadow of Distance | More determined than ever to study the relic, Sebastian secretly sends a crest to Anne and asks to meet. |

Sebastian follows the lead of the triptych and finds the second piece of the canvas. It reveals where the third and final piece of the triptych is. |

You and Sebastian complete the triptych and discover that the Keeper Isidora Morganach was able to take away a person's pain through magic. |
| 10 | In the Shadow of Hope | Sebastian convinces Anne to go with him to the catacomb so they can perform the ritual with the relic. |
| 11 | In the Shadow of the Relic | Inferi swarm the catacomb, which spooks Anne. Just as Sebastian learns to control the Inferi, Solomon intervenes and destroys the relic. Enraged, Sebastian uses Avada Kedavra and kills Solomon. This causes Anne to destroy the spellbook herself and flee the catcomb. |
| 12 | In the Shadow of Fate | After Solomon's burial, you meet Ominis and Sebastian, who's hiding in the Undercroft. You help Ominis and Anne decide whether to turn Sebastian in or not. |
| 13 | In the Shadow of Friendship | After Professor Figg's memorial, you return to the Undercroft one last time and reflect with Sebastian/Ominis (depending on the choice made in the previous quest) on the consequences of Sebastian's pursuits. |

At the end of the main story, Sebastian will you give another chance to learn Crucio, Imperio, and Avada Kedavra (if you chose not to learn them previously). If you turn Sebastian in, then he won't appear at the end of the story and you lose your last chance to learn the Unforgivable Curses.
