How to Unlock Hippogriff Mount

Complete the High Keep Quest

To unlock the Hippogriff and other Flying Mounts, you first need to complete the High Keep Quest. You can reach this quest by unlocking the Wingardium Leviosa during Professor Garlick's Assignment 1 and finishing the Astronomy Class.

You will also get your first Hippogriff, High Wing, for completing the quest.

Hippogriff Locations

In the Center of the Forbidden Forest

The earliest Hippogriff Den you can find. It is located in the center of the Forbidden Forest.

Northeast of The Mine's Eye Floo Station

From the Mine's Eye Floo station which is found on the southern area of the Hogwarts Valley region, head Northeast.

Northeast of Feldcroft

From the Feldcroft town. Head Northeast. It is close to the Floo station so casting Revelio should show its location pretty easily when riding a broom.

Southwest of Poidsear Coast Region

From the Poidsear Castle Floo Station, head Southwest to reach the Hippogriff Den.

South of Manor Cape Region

From the West Manor Cape Floo station, head south until you see a ruined castle.
