You'll get upgrades to your Alohomora spell that'll allow you unlock Level 2 locks (after retrieving 9 Demiguise Statues) and Level 3 locks (after retrieving 13 Demiguise Statues).

You can start collecting the Demiguise Statues all over Hogwarts as part of the main quest The Caretaker's Lunar Lament.

The Man Behind the Moons will unlock automatically after completing that quest, when you talk to Gladwin Moon in the South Wing of Hogwarts.

Collecting Demiguise Statues increases the level of your Alohomora spell. Remember that Demiguise Statues can be found only at night!

After collecting enough Demiguise Statues, bring them to Mr. Moon, and he will upgrade your Alohomora spell in exchange of the statues.
