Finish Professor Hecat's Assignment 1

Venomous Valour becomes available after completing the Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1 quest and unlocking Incendio, which is needed for this quest.

Venomous Valour Walkthrough

Objectives
1 Talk to Duncan Hobhouse.
You'll find Duncan on the east side of the staircase on the ground level of the Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower.

Hogwarts Legacy Venomous Valour 2
Find and enter the Hidden Herbology Corridor.
Follow the quest marker to the Hidden Herbology Corridor in the Belltower Wing at Hogwarts Grounds. Use Incendio to clear the leaves blocking the entrance.

Hogwarts Legacy Venomous Valour 3
Obtain Proof for Duncan.
Progress through the corridor with Lumos activated so that the vines don't damage you. At the end of the hallway, pass through the door frame.

Hogwarts Legacy Venomous Valour 4
Collect a Giant Venomous Tentacula leaf.
Simply walk up to the giant plant and Collect the leaf.

Hogwarts Legacy Venomous Valour 5
Return to Duncan.
To the right of the plant, there is a ladder leading directly to the Greenhouses. Once you've exited, you can fast travel back to the Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower.

Select the Happy to help. Take it. dialogue option and complete the quest.

Venomous Valour Tips and Strategies

Use Lumos to Clear Vines

The vines damage you if you walk directly through them. You can use Lumos or Incendio to make them back off, but it's better to use Lumos, as the fire disappears quickly with Incendio.
