Hogwarts Legacy features a character customization tool that you can use to design your playable character. Here you can see how to create your character and all customizable options, including hairstyle, voice, and skin color!

How to Create a Character

Start the Game to Create Your Character

Before you can start roaming the halls of Hogwarts, you'll get to create the witch or wizard you've always wanted to play as. Once you start the game, you'll immediately be prompted to create a character.

Step	Description
1	Start by selecting a Preset option that is similar to your desirable character design.
2	On the Facewear menu, select your face shape and change skin tone with the slider. You can also opt to give your character glasses.
3	Next, change your hair color with the slider and choose your desired hairstyle.
4	On the Complexion menu, change your complexion and add freckles and moles with the sliders, then select any scars or markings you want on your face.
5	Choose your eye color and eyebrow color with the sliders, then select your eyebrow shape.
6	Here, you can choose your character's voice tone and pitch. You can also select the game difficulty, name your character, and choose to be a witch or wizard. Once you've completed this step, you're ready to play the game!

Skin Color and Face Shape are Permanent Customize Clothing Appearance and Eyewear Change Hairstyle and Hair Color at Hogsmeade

Skin Color and Face Shape are Permanent

Certain customizable options are permanent and cannot be changed during the story. In particular, be sure that you are satisfied with your character's face shape, complexion, and skin color before leaving the character customization menu, as you will not be able to change these options once they've been confirmed.

Customize Clothing Appearance and Eyewear

The appearance of your clothing can be changed directly from the Gear menu. You can change the color of your clothing, select or remove eyewear, and equip other cosmetics that you've unlocked.

Get Bonus Gear with the Deluxe or Collector's Edition

There are various ways you'll be able to unlock and change your clothing and glasses in the game. For starters, players who purchase the Deluxe Edition or Collector's Edition of Hogwarts Legacy will unlock the Dark Arts Pack, which includes the Dark Arts Cosmetic Set. The Digital Deluxe Edition contains the exclusive Dark Arts Garrison Hat. Those who were lucky enough to pre-order the Collector's Edition will also get the Kelpie Robes cosmetic as well.
