Hogwarts Legacy - Can You Store Gear

You cannot store gear in Hogwarts Legacy and can only keep them in your limited inventory. Read on to learn more about storing gear, changing gear appearance, increasing inventory space, selling and destroying gear, and more!

Can You Store Gear?

No, You Cannot Store Gear in Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy - Gear Menu

The gear you obtain cannot be stored in the overworld in Hogwarts Legacy, and you can only keep them in a limited Gear Inventory in the Gear Menu. There are no chests or wardrobes where you can store your gear once your Gear Inventory is full.

How to Increase Gear Inventory Space

You Keep The Appearance of All the Gear You Obtain

Even though you cannot store gear, the appearance of every gear you obtain will be kept in your inventory permanently. This means that even after discarding the actual gear, you can still change your equipped gear to look like the ones you don't have anymore.

You can keep your equipped gear's traits and stat bonuses while changing its appearance as well.

Hogwarts Legacy - Shops Outside Hogsmeade
We recommend you sell your unused gear right away to earn gold faster and not put your gear to waste due to limited inventory and the lack of storage space in the overworld.

Not doing so may force you to destroy your gear on the spot to make room for new and better gear that you will collect. You can also sell your gear to most shops.
