Description After completing my broom flight training in Madam Kogawa's Flying class, Everett mentioned checking in with Albie Weekes at Spintwitches to get a broom.

How to Unlock Flight Test and Location

Complete Flying Class

Flight Test becomes available at Hogsmeade after you finish the main quest Flying Class.

Flight Test Walkthrough

Objectives
1
Flight Test Step 1
Purchase a broom at Spintwitches.
The available brooms all cost 600 Gold. Make sure you bring enough to start the quest.

Flight Test Step 2
Speak with Imelda Reyes at the Quidditch pitch.
Fast travel back to Hogwarts and head over to the Quidditch pitch in the southwest.

Flight Test Step 3
Place in the Quidditch pitch broom trial.
Fly through the rings to avoid penalties and fly through the yellow rings to gain speed boosts.
4
Flight Test Step 4
Report back to Imelda.
Simply talk to Imelda after clearing the time trial.
5 Return to Albie Weekes.
Fast travel to Hogsmeade and talk to Albie in Spintwitches to complete the quest.

Purchase a Broom at Spintwitches

After completing this step, you'll have your very own broom in your inventory. You can use the broom in flying zones like the Quidditch pitch.

Flight Test Tips and Strategies

Don't Miss the Rings

Make sure to fly through the rings in order to not get a 3-second penalty for every missed ring at the end of the trial.

Line Up the Yellow Rings

Additionally, it'd be beneficial to hit all 3 yellow rings that are lined up in front of the main rings. These yellow rings give you a speed boost, but you do lose a bit of control over your broom, which could cause you to miss the main ring if you don't angle your approach properly.

If you're able to line up the yellow rings to the main ring in time, then go for it, but if it'll only cause you to miss, it'd be best to avoid them.
