Crossed Wands: Round 3, the final Crossed Wands duel, is unlocked after finishing the Tomes and Tribulations main quest.
This is the third round of the Lucan's duels, and caps off Round 1 and Round 2 of the tournament.

| 1 | Talk to Lucan Brattleby Lucan can be found at the Clock Tower entrance. Ask him if the final round is ready, and he will ask you if you want to start the championship round. |
| 2 | Take on the duel alone or with a partner Lucan will ask you if you want to take on the round alone or duel alongside with Natsai Onai or Sebastian Sallow. |
| 3 | Defeat your opponents You need to beat 4 other students to win the final duel. |
| 4 | Obtain your rewards Once you win the duel, you will become the Crossed Wands tournament champion! You will then get your rewards and finish the side quest. |

The shields of your opponents this round will have different colors. Make sure to use the spell that matches the color of your target's shield to break it!
During this round, you will fight 4 students with 3 different shields, so it is recommended to duel with Natty, as she has a spell of each color (damage, control, and force spell).
Sebastian and Natsai use the same set of spells from the second round. Their usefulness may still vary as the spells they use may not break your opponents' shields.

The main quest Professor Hecat's Assignment 2 requires you to dodge roll 10 enemy attacks and cast Incendio on enemies 5 times. An easy way to complete this is to do them during Crossed Wands: Round 3, since the students you're facing off against count as enemies.
However, you can still complete Professor Hecat's Assignment 2 even if you've already completed Crossed Wands. Simply find enemies in areas such as south of Lower Hogsfield or within the Forbidden Forest.
