How to Unlock Troll Control and Location

Visit Brocburrow

The Troll Control side quest becomes available upon visiting Brocburrow for the first time. Since Brocburrow is located a bit far from Hogwarts Castle, you can only easily visit there once you get your broom and are able to fly across the map.

Troll Control Walkthrough

Objectives
1 Talk to Alexandra Rickett.
Alexandra Rickett is the woman with a purple scarf standing outside her house north of the Brocburrow Floo Flame fast travel point.

Hogwarts Legacy Alexandras Troll
Go to the Troll's Den.
Fly to the troll den south of where Alexandra Rickett is.

Hogwarts Legacy Alexandras Troll Control
Dispatch Alexandra's Troll.
Defeat the Infamous Foe Alexandra's Troll with damaging spells like Ancient Magic Throw and Diffindo, as well as the immobilizing spell Glacius.
4 Return to Alexandra.
Alexandra is in the same spot in Brocburrow you initially spoke to her in. Talk to her to complete the quest.

Best Spells to Use Against Alexandra's Troll

Ancient Magic Throw Ancient Magic Throw Glacius Glacius Flipendo Flipendo Diffindo Diffindo

Utilize the objects around you to deal massive damage with Ancient Magic Throw. Use Glacius to immobilize and slow the troll down. After the troll slams its club on the ground with both hands, you can use Flipendo to hit it with its own club. Lastly, Diffindo is another great high damage spell to use.
