The Dark Arts Battle Arena is found near the East North Hogwarts Region floo flames in the Forbidden Forest. You can see its icon on the map as well, so you can easily find it using fast travel or through tracking it on the Highlands map.

How to Unlock the Dark Arts Battle Arena

Find and Enter the Arena to Unlock

You can enter the Dark Arts Battle Arena right away upon unlocking the Highlands map, unlike the Battle Arenas where you need to destroy vases in order to unlock them.

Available with Deluxe or Collector's Edition

The Dark Arts Battle Arena will be available to players that purchase the Deluxe and Collector's Edition of the game. For players that only have the base game, they may have to buy the Dark Arts Battle Arena as a separate DLC in the future.

Dark Arts Battle Arena Waves and Enemies

There are five waves to finish in total in the Dark Arts Battle Arena of Hogwarts Legacy. Each wave contains different types of enemies and a specific number of enemies to defeat in order to move on to the next wave.

Losing all your health at any point inside the arena will require you to restart from the very first wave. So be sure to prepare ahead of time before entering the arena.

Save Unforgivable Spells on Powerful and Shielded Enemies

Unforgivable spells can be very over powered as they can immobilize enemies, make them fight for you, or literally one shot an opponent. They can also break shields of any color.

However, they take a while to recharge so you wouldn't want to waste them on weaker enemies. Save these spells for powerful or shielded enemies to clear a wave faster.

Set Your Spells at the Beginning of Battle

Some players do not realize that you can still set your spells in battle, and that you are not restricted to using Confringo and the Unforgivable Curses.

Enemies will have Purple and Yellow shields in later waves, and although the Unforgivable Curses can break shields, they still take a while to recharge. Equip another spell set with Control and Force Spells.

Utilize Items and Potions

Take advantage of your items, particularly the potions and plants that you can use during combat. Be sure to prepare your items ahead of time, as the waves in the Dark Arts Battle Arena can get increasingly difficult.

Utilize the Focus Potion as it will help your spells charge faster, particularly the Unforgivable Curses. You might also want to prepare a lot of Wiggenweld Potions since there are 5 waves and losing even in just one wave will require you to restart from the very beginning.

In-Game Description	Fight waves of enemies in this Battle Arena with the Unforgivable Curses, Avada Kedavra, Imperio, and Crucio, as well as the Blasting Curse, Confringo. In addition to their unique and devastating effects, Unforgivable Curses break through all Shield Charms.
Completion Rewards	Cosmetic Skins

You can obtain cosmetic skins for your gear by completing the Dark Arts Battle Arena. These rewards are purely for changing your gear appearance. You can also obtain rewards by using the arena to complete Challenges.

The Dark Arts Battle Arena is a combat arena where players can practice fighting against waves of enemies that include trolls, goblins, and dark wizards.

While there are other combat arenas present in the game, what sets the Dark Arts Battle Arena apart is that players will have a preloaded set of spells that include immediate access to the the three Unforgivable Curses.
