How to Unlock In the Shadow of Time and Location

Part of Sebastian Sallow's Questline

In the Shadow of Time is unlocked as part of Sebastian Sallow's Relationship questline. In order to unlock it you'll first need to have completed all of the previous quests as listed above.

Additionally, although not part of the Sebastian questline, you'll also need to complete Professor Weasley's Assignment quest first. It'll unlock the same time as In the Shadow of the Mine.

In the Shadow of Time Walkthrough

Objectives
1	Meet Sebastian at the Catacomb.
2	Enter the catacomb. Enter the Feldcroft Catacomb.
3	Find the relic. Fight the spiders at the entrance then destroy the web blocking the path with Incendio.
3a	In the next room, defeat the spiders then head down the hallway to the east and drop down to the center altar.
3b	Collect the Student Journal Entry document beside the altar.
4	Speak with Sebastian about the note.
5	Find a way through the barricade. In the east, there's a skeleton barricade. Bring 3 piles of bones to this door via Accio and Wingardium Leviosa. You can find these bones scattered around the altar room.
6	Find the relic. Head through the opened up barricade and to the next room. A dialogue scene with Sebastian will trigger in the next room.
6a	You'll be given the option to learn the Unforgivable Curse spell Imperio. If you choose to learn it, you'll have to perform the learn spell mechanic.
6b	After talking to Sebastian, defeat the spiders that attack you. Open the doort to the south with Accio, then you'll find another skeleton barricade. Same drill: bring 3 piles of bones from the room to the barricade using Accio and Wingardium Leviosa.
7	Defeat the spiders. Past the barricade is another room with spiders, defeat them.
8	Find the relic. Clear the giant cobweb to the east with Confringo or Incendio, then pick up the Relic's Note and Lost Relic Illustration at the altar.
9	Speak with Sebastian about the relic. ▶︎ Should Sebastian Take the Relic?
10	Leave the catacombs. Head back to where you came from and you'll encounter Ominis.
11	Wait for Sebastian and Ominis to finish talking.
12	Persuade Ominis. You'll be given a choice to side with either Ominis or Sebastian. All dialogue options result in you leaving the catacomb, but siding with Sebastian will make you cast Imperio on Ominis. ▶︎ Should You Side With Ominis or Sebastian?
13	Leave the catacombs. Head back to the entrance. Unfortunately, you will have to retrace your steps and walk all the way back.
14	Return to Feldcroft. Run back to the marker at Feldcroft.
15	Defend Feldcroft from Ranrok's Loyalists. Defeat all the Loyalists in the area.
16	Talk to Solomon Sallow. Follow the marker to Solomon and speak with him to complete the quest.

5. Find a Way Through the Barricade

To get through the barricade, lift skeletons using Accio and Wingardium Leviosa and bring them in front of the barricade. Do this with three skeletons to open the way.

1 skeleton can be found on the altar, another west of the altar inside a coffin behind an Accio handle, and the final skeleton inside the room to the south.

In the Shadow of Time Tips and Strategies

Select the Learn Imperius Curse Dialogue Option

During the quest, Sebastian will offer to teach you the Unforgivable Curse spell Imperio. You can accept and decline via dialogue option.

If you want to learn Imperio, you'll have to select the dialogue option Yes, I'd like to learn the Imperius Curse.

You can learn it later in the quest too

Later in the quest, you'll be confronted by Ominis in the Catacomb. If you side with Sebastian at that moment, you'll be given another opportunity to learn Imperio (which will be used on Ominis).

The catacomb has a few branching paths that'll lead you to smaller rooms where you can pick up gear and Gold. Make sure to check out all of these branching paths, since they don't take you far off the main path anyway.
