1 In the Shadow of the Undercroft (Main Quest)
2 In the Shadow of the Estate (Main Quest)

In the Shadow of the Bloodline is a side quest unlocked as part of Sebastian Sallow's Relationship questline. In order to unlock it you'll first need to have completed both of the preceding main quests, as listed above.

Additionally, you'll need to complete the main quest The Elf, the Nab-Sack, and the Loom, if you didn't do that quest before In the Shadow of the Estate.

Speak with Sebastian.
Sebastian and Ominis are arguing at the staircase west of the Grand Hall Floo Flame fast travel point.

How to Complete the Quest

After Sebastian explains the Dark Arts and the Cruciatus Curse to you, the quest will oddly just end without a Quest Completed screen. Don't worry, you completed the quest and the storyline will continue in In the Shadow of the Study.
