You can only visit Azkaban if you are a Hufflepuff student in Hogwarts Legacy. Read on to learn how to visit Azkaban and more!

1 Choose House Hufflepuff during the Sorting Ceremony.

3 Receive the mail from the Owl Post.
4 Talk to Eldritch Diggory at the Hufflepuff Common Room.
5 Talk to Helen Thistlewood to visit Azkaban.

1. Choose House Hufflepuff

Hogwarts Legacy - Choose House Hufflepuff

The only way to visit Azkaban is to choose Hufflepuff during the Sorting Ceremony in the Welcome to Hogwarts main story quest.

If you have a character from a different house and has progressed far in the main story, you can make a new save file with a Hufflepuff character instead.

The quest that takes you to Azkaban takes place in the early game, so it should not take too long to make a new save and progress through the main story.

2. Complete Trials of Merlin

Complete the main story quests until you encounter an old woman being harassed by thieves at the lake outside Hogwarts Castle. Help her to complete the Trials of Merlin main story quest.

3. Receive the Mail from the Owl Post

After completing the Trials of Merlin, wait until you receive an owl telling you to speak with a portrait. You can skip time by opening the Map menu and selecting the Wait button.

4. Talk to the Portrait of Eldritch Diggory

Head to the Hufflepuff Common Room and speak with the portrait of Eldritch Diggory. He will point you to the location of Helen Thistlewood in Hogsmeade.

5. Talk to Helen Thistlewood to Visit Azkaban

Hogwarts Legacy - Helen Thistlewood

Talk to Helen Thistlewood in Hogsmeade to start the Prisoner of Love main story quest. This quest takes you to Azkaban to solve the mystery behind Richard Jackdaw's death, encounter dementors, and visit a prisoner locked up inside.

Note that you can only visit Azkaban in this main story quest, so be sure to explore the area thoroughly as you cannot go back again after completing the quest.
