Players can get the elder wand by answering a quiz from the Wizarding World website then linking that account in Hogwarts Legacy. Read on to learn how to get the elder wand and learn if the Elder Wand from the books and movies will be in the game.

Equip Elder Wand in Niamh Fitzgerald’s Trial Main Quest

You can temporarily use the Elder Wand during the Niamh Fitzgerald’s Trial main quest later on in the game. Once you finish the quest, you will not be able to use the Elder Wand in combat anymore.

Hogwarts Legacy - Elder Wood Wand

You can answer the wand quiz on the Wizarding World website to get your hands on an Elder Wood Wand, either with a Phoenix Core, Unicorn Core, or Dragon Core. You can import that wand to Hogwarts Legacy by linking it on your WB Games account.

Take note that the Elder Wood Wand you'll get from the quiz won't be the same one wielded by Dumbledore in the books and movies as there is no option for a Thestral Core. You will receive a different wand made by Mr. Ollivander, who specializes in creating wands with Phoenix, Dragon, and Unicorn Cores.

Go to your Profile, click on the Wand, and tap on the Find Your Wand button to get to the quiz.
Alternatively, you can click here to get to the quiz, but make sure your account is already logged in.

Start answering the quiz. It has seven questions in total.

The result will show on the screen after answering all the questions.

Hogwarts Legacy - Step 4 Link WB Games account
Assuming your account already has a Wand and House, you can then link your Harry Potter Fan Club account to your WB Games account. You can do that by going to the Legacy Connect page.
How to Link Your Harry Potter Fan Account

Note that you won't be able to take part in the quiz again once your account gets a wand. The only way to reset your wand is to delete your whole account and use it again to sign up and answer the quiz.

Hogwarts Legacy - Elder Wand Users

You will encounter the Elder Wand during the Niamh Fitzgerald’s Trial main quest. You can obtain the wand and use it in combat but only during the quest.

You will keep the wand as a story element, but you will not be able to use it in combat outside of the Niamh Fitzgerald’s Trial quest.

What is the Elder Wand?

A Powerful Wand

According to the lore, the Elder Wand was created by Death. Unlike the Elder Wood Wand you can currently get, this one has a Thestral Core. In the films and books, it was owned by Albus Dumbledore for many years before eventually ending in Harry's hands.
