How to Unlock Venomous Revenge and Location

During Search for the Final Keeper

You unlock Venomous Revenge by completing the first third of the Prepare for your Search for the Final Keeper task, meaning you have to complete the main quests The Helm of Urtkot, Beasts Class, and The Caretaker's Lunar Lament.

Venomous Revenge Walkthrough

Objectives

Venomous Revenge Step 1
Talk to the muttering man behind the Three Broomsticks.
Head behind the Three Broomsticks and talk to Ackley Barnes.

Venomous Revenge Step 2
Find Alfred Lawley's Cellar.
Head to the purple circle denoted on your minimap. The entrance to the cellar is out in the open facing the street.

Find Lawley's Venomous Tentacula
Use your Disillusionment spell to turn invisible and sneak past Lawley. Head to the door with the Level 1 Lock to the north. Use Alohomora to open it.

While still invisible, head to the well-lit part of the cave (the one with a few Thornback spiders), then immediately turn left upon entering and go up the stairs. Collect Lawley's Venomous Tentacula in the room after the stairs.

Venomous Revenge Step 4
Return to Ackley Barnes.
Head back out the way you came in, but remain invisible to avoid being detected by Lawley or the spiders.

Talk to Barnes in the same spot you received the quest to complete it.

Venomous Revenge Tips and Strategies

No Need to Fight the Spiders

Since the path to the Venomous Tentacula is a bit off to the side from where the spiders are walking, you don't need to fight them. Just remain invisble and head straight for the Venomous Tentacula.

You Can Ask for More Gold

When handing over the Venomous Tentacula to Ackley Barnes, you can select the dialogue option I'd like to be paid. in order to receive 500 Gold, as opposed to the base 300 Gold you get if you select Happy to be rid of it. instead.

You can actually just give Barnes any venomous tentacula you have and never have to visit Lawley's cellar.
