Quest Objectives

1. Access the Headmaster's Office

If you already have it activated, fast travel to the Trophy Room Floo Flame of the Grand Staircase region to quickly reach the starting point of the quest. Continue to the top of the tower until you find the gargoyle statue where you need to whisper the password.

Climb the spiral staircase to reach the headmaster's office. Before you approach the marker, open the chest on the table to the left to receive the Sabre - Ash Brown wand handle.

2. Find the Book in the Headmaster's Office

Interact with the book on the pedestal at the back of the room to proceed.

3. Make Your Way Through the Town Without Being Seen

Walk across the bridge west for a short cutscene. Once you're back in control, you will be under the effect of Disillusionment until the end of this objective and you won't be able to use any other spells.

Sneak past the Death's Shadows and crawl under the wooden beam ahead. Follow the curved path and jump down the stack of hay below.

In the next area, wait for the Shadow in the middle to step to the side before quickly moving onward. There will be another Shadow blocking the path ahead. Hide behind the barrels and wait for it to move before continuing through the broken mill.

Make your way past the bridge and turn left to find a ladder that will take you to the roof. Head north and drop down past the cobblestone wall.

Security will be tighter this time. Wait for the patrolling Shadow to move left before sneaking behind the wooden cart. There will be more Shadows ahead. Wait for them to turn around then quickly move towards the next marker.

A short scene will trigger where Shadows will be spawned right on your path. Turn back immediately and enter the building on your left. Go up the second floor an wait for an opportunity to sneak past the three Shadows and walk over the wooden beams on your left. Head down the stairs to find the Mysterious Cloak.

4. Use the Cloak

Now that you're completely invisible, you can just waltz through the enemies and reach your destination easily. Exit through the gate and follow the marker through the street you were on earlier, then grab the Mysterious Wand to regain access to your Spells and temporarily reduce Spell cooldowns.

Cast Bombarda on the rubble blocking your path and head for the new objective marker.

Defeat the Death's Shadows to clear the black smoke wall. Continue fighting your way to the next objective where you will find a Mysterious Stone.

5. Complete the Trial of the Stone

Follow the linear path and interact with Fitzgerald's body.

6. Witness Niamh Fitzgerald's Memory

Follow Niamh and interact with the birdbath to view her memory.

7. Return to the Map Chamber

Pass through the mirror to return to the Map Chamber.

8. Speak to the Newly Arrived Keeper

Approach the marker to meet the newly arrived Keeper, San Bakar, and complete the quest.
