Will There Be a Day 1 Patch?
Confirmed for Both Physical and Digital Versions
Like most games, especially big ones, Hogwarts Legacy is also confirmed to have a day 1 patch on release for both physical and digital versions.
Physical version holders will need to connect to the internet to download the patch, but they can proceed and play the game while waiting for the download to finish.
Patch included in digital versions
As mentioned in the FAQ page of the official site, the day 1 patch will be included in the initial download of the digital versions.
Early Access Likely to Have the Patch Sooner
For those who bought the Deluxe Editions, the day 1 patch is likely to come along with the start of early access on February 7, 2023. This will be sooner, of course, for Digital Deluxe editions as it will be included in the preload.
No Official Patch Notes Yet
Although there are no official patch notes yet for the Day 1 update, it's possible that it will include several bug fixes, improvements and optimizations for gameplay and visual aspects, and even subtitle and localization fixes.
