Fleeting Hordes Explained
Infernal Hordes for Normal to Penitent Difficulty
Fleeting Hordes is an in-game activity that functions similarly to Infernal Hordes, where players face waves of enemies to gather Aether, which can be exchanged for rewards.
Fleeting hordes are only available from Normal to Penitent Difficulty, and are capped at four waves. Fleeting Hordes are designed to support leveling during the stages of pre-torment difficulties, which explains the reduced loot rewards but lower barrier of entry.
Requires Fleeting Hordes Compass
As with Infernal Hordes, players are required to have a Fleeting Hordes Compass to gain access. The Fleeting Hordes Compass grants access to the Gates of Hell, enabling you to confront the Fleeting Hordes.

Provides Equipment and Experience
Once all four waves have been completed and the two council members have been defeated, players have the option to spend their Aether to obtain normal legendary equipment.
Players have the option to allocate all their Aether to experience points to accelerate the leveling-up process, a feature exclusive to Fleeting Hordes.
