Complete Fundament of Faith

To unlock the Darkening Clouds main quest, you'll first need to complete the story's previous main quest Fundament of Faith.

Checkmark Search for Ah Bulan
Checkmark Confront Mephisto

Search for Ah Bulan

Objective
1 Head to your quest objective marker to search for Ah Bulan in the Field of Giants. Once you reach your destination, find Maka and Eru by following the objective areas.
2 Speak with Eru
Speak to Eru once you find him at Wekenga to commune with Ah Bulan. Afterward, defeat the enemies that spawn then enter the fiery portal to the Fortress of Hatred.

Confront Mephisto

Objective
1 Traverse the Fortress of Hatred then speak to Mephisto and survive the attack to progress. Afterwards, leave the Fortress of Hatred and speak to Eru to complete the quest.
