Effect
When consuming a Corpse, there is a 10 - 30% chance to also create a decaying Skeletal Simulacrum that seeks enemies but cannot attack. When it dies, it explodes for 5,514 Shadow damage. This effect is treated as a Macabre Skill.

Equipment Affix	+ 100% Macabre and Corpse Damage
Affix 1	+ 126 - 180 Intelligence
Affix 2	+ 36.5 - 50% Chance For Corpse Explosion to Deal Double Damage
Affix 3	Hewed Flesh also grants a Barrier for 8 - 10% Maximum Life for 4 seconds
Affix 4	+ 3 - 5 Ranks of Hewed Flesh

How to Get The Mortacrux

Obtained from Infernal Hordes

Diablo 4 - Infernal Hordes

The Mortacrux, along with the 15 Unique Items introduced in Season 5 have higher drop rates in the Infernal Hordes. At the moment, opening the Spoils of Hell and the Spoils of Greater Equipment from the Infernal Hordes is the best way to farm this Unique as there is no Boss Ladder that specifically drops it.

In order to unlock Infernal Horde, you must complete the questline The Eyes of the Enemy at World Tier 3: Nightmare difficulty. Then, obtain an Infernal Compass, which opens the portal to the Infernal Horde.
