Create a Seasonal Character to Start Season 2

Diablo 4 - How to Start Season 2

Although it might not be clear from the main menu, you can start playing Season 2 right away by selecting Create New Character from the menu after logging in.

From there, create a new character with the class of your choice. We recommend choosing Skip Campaign as well if you have already played the campaign before Season 2.

Select Seasonal Realm after Character Creation

Diablo 4 - Create a Seasonal Character

At the end of Character Creation, you'll have a choice to start in the Seasonal Realm or the Eternal Realm. Be sure to select Seasonal Realm as this will allow your new character to join Season 2.

Should You Make a Seasonal Character?

Start Playing the Game

From the start of Season 2, if you have already completed the Campaign, you can immediately start playing the Season of the Malignant Questline. Otherwise, you'll need to complete the Campaign first, either with your new character or with your pre-Season 2 character. If you haven't yet, be sure to transfer your renown by logging in to your pre-Season 2 character before you get started as well.
