The Jurrac archetype has finally become playable with the surprise addition of their newer cards in the most recent Selection Pack, Detonate to the Top Speed. Though they do not use most of their legacy cards, the newer cards are perfectly matched with the powerful support Dinosaurs have gotten in the game.
Jurrac Astero will let the player set down Jurrac Impact, which will nuke the field. This will let it set a way to summon Jurrac Meteor without having to properly Synchro Summon.

Centur-Ion was already good and consistent as it was, but then came the addition of Bonfire for searching the Pyro monster, and the addition of Centur-Ion Atrii and Centur-Ion Primera Primus for more angles in Synchro Summoning.
Still, the key focus of this Deck is easy access to Level 12 Synchro Monsters, which makes it easy to do by setting up Centur-Ion Auxila and Crimson Dragon. This is made easier due to the archetype's ability to Synchro Summon during the opponent's turn thanks to Stand Up Centur-Ion!

Crystron is the second archetype that makes use of Synchro Summoning during the opponent's turn as a staple of their strategy. The Deck had the idea at first, but it became way more consistent once Crystron Tristaros and Crystron Eleskeletus got added to the game earlier in 2025.
Eleskeletus in particular helps recycle cards from the GY or Banishment, and automatically reduces the opponent's monsters' stats while it's on the field. As it is a Level 7 monster, it can also be used to Synchro Climb into other stronger Synchro Monsters, like Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon or their own boss monster Crystron Quariongandrax.

The Ice Barriers are the closest thing to a Stun Deck for the Synchro Cup. While most players would just generally use General Raiho, there are other Ice Barrier monsters that can debilitate the opponent just by being on the field.
They are also able to get to powerful Synchro Monsters easily, with Lancea, Ancestral Dragon of the Ice Mountain Special Summoning other Ice Barrier monsters in response to the opponent's moves. Once the floodgate enabler is established, the looming threat of the two Trishulas that can rip cards from the hand can win the game on its own.

Speedroids were already powerful on their own, but stronger boss monsters and combo starters were added in the Detonate to the Top Speed Selection Pack to give them a chance in the current meta. Though it loses Hi-Speedroid Rubber Band Shooter because of the event's restrictions, it is still very much powerful focusing on only Synchro Monsters.
The newest boss monster, Crystal Clear Wing Over Synchro Dragon, has a floating effect that can let it be replaced with “Clear Wing” Synchro monsters should it ever leave the field. They can then be used to Synchro Climb into more powerful monsters, like Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake and Hi-Speedroid Clear Wing Rider.
