| Evil HERO | Yubel | Fabled |

Snake-Eyes Azamina might feel like a Deck that has the farthest use for Fiendsmith cards, it is one of many cards that can complete a full combo. Fusion Monsters are brought out with the help of Deception of the Sinful Spoils into The Hallowed Azamina, while the Snake-Eye Monsters are well-known for its Link Monster combo.
Combined together, the three archetypes in a single Deck can play through multiple interruptions like Ash Blossom and Called by the Grave with the sheer number of ways to pivot playstyles.
Fiendsmith Snake-Eyes Deck Guide

The Magical Musketeers, like most of the Fiendsmith monsters, are LIGHT Fiend monsters. Summoning one of them can technically mean an instant access into Fiendsmith's Requiem and go into immediate combo.
What works with this Deck is that the Fiendsmith can do their thing well, before the Musketeers can play. The goal now is to summon Magical Musketeer Max, which "reloads" the hand with different Spells and Traps that can be activated from the hand on either player's turn.

The main prowess of Kashitra is to get into Kashtira Arise-Heart with a classic Kashtiratheosis combo. This remains unchanged even with the addition of the Fiendsmith Cards.
Instead, the Deck Engine's role is to provide further protection with Desirae's omni-negate. Before activating Kashtiratheosis, that's when the player can go with full Fiendsmith combo. Doing the combo after activating the Spell will not work, as the user is locked into Xyz Monsters instead.
Fiendsmith Kashtira Deck Guide

Most of the Evil HERO monsters, including Fusion Monsters, are labeled as Fiend-type monsters. Though not under the LIGHT attribute, being the same type is more than enough synergy for the Evil HERO side.
The synergy lets them use the Fiendsmith monsters as materials. Examples include Evil HERO Neos Lord, Malicious Fiend and Darkest Knight.

Yubel has quite an easy playstyle to get monsters on the field, and its typical combo can pivot into a Fiendsmith play should a usual combo end up being interrupted. All it needs is Moon of the Closed Heaven.
It also provides additional layer of protection with negation against cards on the field. This keeps key cards like Phantom of Yubel, Nightmare Pain and Nightmare Throne safe while negating multiple cards from their effects.

One of the key cards of the Fiendsmith Engine is Fabled Lurrie, as it being a LIGHT Fiend on the field is automatically a full Fiendsmith combo. It only makes sense for the archetype he originated from to work well with the Fiendsmith cards.
They specialize in getting card advantage by having its cards discarded from the hand. Then, with enough materials on the board, they can then conduct Synchro Summons into their Deck's strongest boss monsters, like Fabled Levilazebul and Baronne de Fleur among others.

The Fiendsmith Engine is a collection of cards from the archetype of the same name. They are composed of LIGHT Fiend-type monsters that can Special Summon themselves with ease.
These group of cards, often called a Deck Engine, are strong enough on their own from consistency. However, due to how little space it takes up in a Deck List, a lot of Decks can make use of these cards without any setbacks!
Fabled Lurrie
|
Fiendsmith Engraver
|
Fiendsmith's Tract
|
Fiendsmith's Requiem
|
The main cards you want to have ready to use are the engine's combo starters. The key cards here are Fiendsmith Engraver, which can discard itself to get Fiendsmith's Tract. The Spell Card can search a LIGHT Fiend monster from the Deck, then discard a card.
This is where Fabled Lurrie comes in; despite not being a Fiendsmith monster, it works well with Tract's effect. It Special Summons itself after being discard, and it can then become material to Link Summon Fiendsmith's Requiem.
| # | Step Taken |
|---|---|
| 1 | Activate Fiendsmith Engraver from the hand; discard it, then add Fiendsmith's Tract to the hand. |
| 2 | Activate Fiendsmith's Tract; add Fabled Lurrie from the Deck to hand, then immediately discard it due to the Spell Card's effect. This triggers Lurrie's effect after being discarded to the GY; Special Summon it. |
| 3 | Using Fabled Lurrie as material, immediately Link Summon into Fiendsmith's Requiem. Then, activate its effect while on the field during the Main Phase; tribute itself, then Special Summon Fiendsmith Engraver from the Deck. |
Normally, the Fiendsmith cards would need one extra monster on the field to be used as fellow material to go into Fiendsmith's Sequence. For those that do not start with any combo starter, there is another alternate option as well.
Moon of the Closed Heaven
|
Lacrima the Crimson Tears
|
Moon of the Closed Heaven only needs two Effect Monsters on the field to be summoned, as it being a LIGHT Fiend monster, can immediately go into Requiem and then continue the combo as normal.
With the addition of Lacrima the Crimson Tears, however, there are now more options for the Engine. Not only is it an additional summon, it becomes a Foolish Burial for one more Fiendsmith Engraver!
Then, activate its effect while on the field during the Main Phase; tribute itself, then Special Summon Lacrima the Crimson Tears from the Deck. |
| 4 | Lacrima the Crimson Tears' effect triggers upon being Special Summoned; send the second copy of Fiendish Engraver from the Deck to GY. Then, activate one of the Engravers from there; shuffle back Fabled Lurrie to the Deck to Special Summon itself back from the Deck. |
Fiendsmith's Sequence
|
Fiendsmith's Lacrima
|
Fiendsmith's Desirae
|
D/D/D Wave High King Caesar
|
With two monsters, including a Fiendsmith monster on the field, the player can go into Fiendsmith's Sequence. With its effect, it can conduct a Fusion by shuffling materials from the GY back tto the Deck or Extra Deck.
Most often, this effect is used to Summon Fiendsmith's Lacrima, which on summon can bring back a Fiendsmith Engraver from the GY. From here, the player has quite a lot of options to consider, and that's without considering the actual archetype Fiendsmith is supporting!
| # | Possible Step to Take |
|---|---|
| 1 | Fusion Summom using Fiendsmith's Sequence's effect, shuffling materials in the GY back to the Deck to summon Fiendsmith's Desirae. |
| 2 | Activate Fiendsmith's Tract from the GY; banish the Spell Card from the GY to conduct a Fusion Summon using Lacrima, Sequence and Engraver on the field to bring out Fiendsmith Desirae. |
| 3 | Using Lacrima, Engraver and Sequence (being a Link-2 monster) as materials, Link Summon Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess. |
Fiendsmith's Agnumday
|
Fiendsmith's Rextremende
|
Fiendsmith in Paradise
|
Fiendsmith's Agnumday is an additional step further for a usual Fiendsmith Combo, but it can be put off the Extra Deck if there is too little space to add more Fiendsmith cards. This is paired well with Desirae, triggering its effect to send a card from the field to the GY.
| # | Step Taken |
|---|---|
| 1 | After summoning Fiendsmith's Desirae through the effect of Fiendsmith's Sequence, do not activate Sequence's second effect. Instead, use the two monsters as materials to Link Summon into Fiendsmith's Agnumday. |
| 2 | Trigger the effect of Fiendsmith Agnumday after being Link Summoned; target Fiendsmith's Desirae from the GY and Special Summon it back to the field, then equip the Link Monster to it in the Spell/Trap Zone. This gives Desirae a boost in ATK. |
| 3 | Activate Fiendsmith's Sequence's second effect while in the GY; eqiup itself to Fiendsmith's Desirae. This gives Desirae a second boost in ATK. |
Fiendsmith's Rextremende is even more optional, since it needs an additional Fusion or Link Monster as material. However, its ability to send a card from either the Main Deck or Extra Deck to the GY is far too good. Imagine if it sends Elder Entity N'tss to destroy a card, or Tearlaments Kitkallos to mill 5 cards from both players' Decks.
Fiendsmith in Paradise works as a combined Dark Hole and Heavy Storm. However, it can be a punish for the opponent once they Special Summon; dump Desirae for to send a card to the GY, or send Lacrima to the GY and burn them for 1200.
What makes Fiendsmith so good as a Deck Engine, and setting itself above the rest, is the fact that it is so easy to go into at any point during the Duel. Get into one of the many cards to go into combo, and you're set for the rest of the turn.
For the most part, the only card needed to get to at least a Fiendsmith monster on the field is Fiendsmith Engraver, which can be discard to the other one-card combo maker, Fiendsmith's Tract.
Without the Spell Card, Moon of the Closed Heaven is a different option, only needing two Effect Monsters on your field to go into a psuedo-Fiendsmith combo.
Most other Deck Engines have restrictions placed onto them that make them more selective in being used. For example, a Horus Engine needs either King's Sarcophagus or Imsety to work; the DPE engine requires Predaplant Verte Anaconda to access Fusion Destiny, which also needs at least 2 Destiny HERO monsters in the Deck. In summary, the Deck has to work with the Engine.
With the Fiendsmith Engine, there is no restriction whatsoever. They can play as during and after doing the full combo, so long as they keep in mind what their own Deck has in terms of restrictions.
Bystial Magnamhut
|
Bystial Druiswurm
|
Bystial Baldrake
|
Bystial Saronir
|
The Bystial Dragons are probably the best cards to use against the Fiendsmith cards. Most of the Fiendsmith combos are done while monsters are on their side of the field, and these monsters can banish DARK or LIGHT monsters from there to Special Summon themselves.
Magnamhut is the main searcher for the Deck Engine, and Saronir is synergistic for some Decks like Branded Despia and Bystial Branded. Druiswurm, now at 3, can send a card to the GY if it goes there itself. Baldrake tributes to negate a Special Summon, and is perfect in Control Decks.
Dimensional Fissure
|
Macro Cosmos
|
Dimension Shifter
|
Masked HERO Dark Law
|
Kashtira Arise-Heart
|
|
The Fiendsmith cards use the Graveyard as a secondary resource pool, with effects involving the area like Fabled Lurrie, Fiendsmith Engraver and Fiendsmith's Sequence. The last thing they want to happen is to get banished.
Some Decks thrive in being banished to gain advantage, like Floowandereeze, Ghoti and Kashtira. For some Decks that can make use of the Mask Change Quick-Play Spells, Masked HERO Dark Law does the same thing, along with Kashtira Arise-Heart.
Droll & Lock Bird
|
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring
|
Dominus Impulse
|
Thunder Dragon Colossus
|
If you happen to have Fiendsmith's Tract on hand, search negation is the worst effect you have to deal with--so try to stop it from happening. Look out for classic hand traps like Ash Blossom
and Droll & Lock Bird to stop additions to the hand.
Thunder Dragon Colossus also does the same thing while it is face-up and active on the field. Dominus Impulse just got added in the game as of writing, but the Trap Card turns off effects for LIGHT, WATER and WIND monsters for the rest of the Duel.
Maxx "C"
|
Mulcharmy Fuwalos
|
The Deck Engine will involve multiple summons from everywhere, but particularly from the Extra Deck and Main Deck. If the search negation is not available, pressure the opponent instead to give you card advantage if they try to go for more Fiendsmith monsters.
Maxx “C” and Mulcharmy Fuwalos can be activated one after another, so long as the latter's conditions of not controlling and cards is fulfilled. Even better is that a second Fuwalos can be activated if the player has them on hand, further pressuring the opponent from continuing with their combo summons.
