The 2nd Stage of the Duelist Cup has finished, and the results are in!

Congratulations once again to Karmano for achieving 1st Place in the March 2024 Duelist Cup, as well as たすく for reaching 2nd place!

Karmano's Second Straight 1st Place Finish

This marks the second time Karmano has placed 1st in the Duelist Cup 2nd Round standings, as he placed 1st during the December 2023 Duelist Cup! hHe was part of the North American team Team 7, alongside Jesse Kotton and Raye to be the first runner-up in the first-ever Master Duel World Championship!

Tasuku Places 2nd

たすく (Tasuku) is the notable second-place finisher for this Duelist Cup, and he was the leader of Japan's team represenatives in To the future from the 2023 World Championship!

March 2024 Duelist Cup Rules and Qualifications

Round 1 Rules

The Duelist Cup is Master Duel's premiere PvP event, with the focus of primarily Dueling against other Duelists at their absolute best.

This event is mostly for primarily for competitive players, who wants to see how good they are against other seasoned players around the world with their best and strongest Decks.

Players will most likely have a unique Ranking called DLv., which serves as their eligibility for the tournament proper.

Players DLvs are determined by their placement in Ranked Duels before joining the event--to be specific, the final placement being based from the ranking in Season 26 - February 2024.

Silver	DLv. 3
Gold	DLv. 5
Platinum	DLv. 7
Diamond	DLv. 10
Master	DLv. 12

Players who are under DLv. 4 will keep increasing in their DLv., regardless if they win or lose. Only surrendering will cause players in these DLv. to not increase their chances of going to a higher tier.

Round 2 Rules

Players have to hit DLv. Max in order to qualify for the 2nd Round, beginning on March 22nd, 2023 at 1:00 PM JST.

From here on in, players wil be given Duelist Points to be ranked indivually against all players who made it to this round around the world.

There are placements for server regions and internationally, meaning you can check how much points do you need to stay in the lead!

2024 World Championship Implications

Top Ranked Player in Round 2 Invited to Worlds

The top ranked player with the most Duelist Points at the end of Round 2 of Duelist Cups are now going to receive a "World Championship Finals Invitation" as team leaders. This means that every Duelist Cup now serves as a World Championship Qualifier; similar to the one that happened last year!

Season Points

Season Points are also up for grabs in this Duelist Cup, which can be earned by placing as one of the best in your server during Duelist Cups and the World Championship Qualifier.

The players and teams with the most points accumulated by the end of the next WCQ will also receive a "World Championship Finals Invitation".

Rewards Earned Retroactively

Much like the previous Duelist Cups, players who are active in Ranked will be placed ahead of the others, and will be given a DLv. depending on where they place the most recent Season of Ranked Duels. For this round of the Duelist Cup, it will use your ranking based on Season 23.

For unranked players who will be playing in the Duelist Cup, they will begin as DLv. 1.

The first time players with advanced placement Duel in the Duelist Cup event, they will automatically be given the rewards from lower DLvs.

Final Ranking Rewards

Once the event is over and the final standings are tallied, players who managed to move to the 2nd Stage of the Duelist Cup will receive the appropriate rewards.
