A new banlist update is on the way for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, taking effect on March 9th, 2023. Check here for all the details on what cards are being forbidden, limited, semi-limited and unlimited!

March 9th Banlist Update

The new Banlist goes into effect on March 9th, 2023.

This Banlist update is a pre-emptive hit for cards that are coming to Master Duel, with an upcoming Selection Packl being announced on the same day.

Strong Will Selection Pack Announcement

The changes made to the list reflect Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel's aim of preventing Decks from being too difficult to counter, and ensuring the game's tactical element is not compromised by overly short and one-sided Duels.

List of Forbidden & Limited Cards

The following cards will have their restrictions changed following the scheduled update on March 9, 2023:

Cards Moved to Forbidden

No Cards have been moved to Forbidden status.

Cards Moved to Limited

No Cards have been moved to Limited status.

Cards Moved to Semi-Limited

Newly Semi-Limited Cards

Cards Moved to Unlimited

No Cards have been moved to Semi-Limited status.

Dismantling Bonuses

Master Duel - No Dismantling Bonus.png

As the cards are only being added to the game after the update, there will be no dismantling bonus available after the banlist changes have taken effect.
