N/R Melodious Breakdown

N/R Melodious Deck Guide: How to Play

While the Melodious archetype not having access to most of its Fusion Monsters thanks to the event restrictions, the Deck looks quite different than it normally does. Nevertheless, the playstyle remains just about the same: swarming the field with the low-level Main Deck monsters so they can be used for other Special Summons.

With more free space in the Main Deck, there are a couple of disruptions added in that can help protect your own monsters. Herald of Orange Light, which negates monster effects, synergizes well due to the Melodious archetype being Fairy-type. Torrential Tribute stops the opponent from swarming their field, and Forbidden Chalice can be added to the hand easily with Condemned Witch.

The only Fusion Monster in the Extra Deck now is Schuberta the Melodious Maestra, but that doesn't mean the Deck will be stuck with just a Fusion Monster. There are other options, mostly Rank 4 Xyz monsters as that's the predominant level in the Main Deck. Your choices range from support with Fairy Cheer Girl, Number 50: Blackship of Corn and Number 92: Thunder Spark Dragon, and beatsticks which include Gagaga Samurai, Number 52: Diamond Crab King, Number 70: Malevolent Sin and Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk.
