Completing the A Price to Pay side quest is a prerequisite to unlocking the Poisoned Hearts side quest.

| 1 |  Speak with Vera Speak with Vera in front of the Blind Burrows Dungeon in the Diseased Embankment. |
| 2 |  Collect Aneta’s Keepsake Pick up Aneta's Keepsake on the ground in front of Vera. |
| 3 |  Find Aneta You can find Aneta in Gulyas' Hovel, near 3 lit braziers. |
| 4 |  Extinguish the Strange Braziers Interact with the 3 braziers surrounding Aneta. |
| 5 |  Speak with Aneta Talk to Aneta after extinguishing the braziers. |
| 6 |  Speak with Gulyas Talk to Gulyas after speaking to Aneta. |
| 7 |  Help Aneta gather rotten livers Head to the 4 locations in the Rustwash to gather rotten livers with Aneta. |
| 8 |  Enter the Hidden Glade Head to the Hidden Glade dungeon in the Blackguard Bog. |
| 9 |  Follow Aneta Follow Aneta through the dungeon until you reach the altar with Gulyas. |
| 10 | Speak with Gulyas |
| 11 |  Fill the Blood Altar Kill enemies within the circle to sacrifice their blood. |
| 12 | Protect Aneta from the villagers Defeat the villagers that attack you after the Blood Altar is filled. |
| 13 |  Follow Aneta Follow Aneta out of the dungeon and back to the Rustwash. |
| 14 |  Return to Gulyas’ Hovel After speaking to Aneta, head back to Gulyas' Hovel. |
| 15 |  Read Aneta’s Letter Interact with Aneta's Letter inside Gulyas' Hovel. |
