Which Weapons and Clothing to Keep? | Inventory Management Guide

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty offers plenty of ways to manage your inventory such as selling items or storing weapons in V's stashes. Read on to learn more about which weapons and clothing items you should keep in the game to optimize your inventory.

Managing Your Inventory

Cyberpunk 2077 will have you looting weapons, clothes, and other items all over Night City. Unfortunately, you can't carry all of them as your character has a storage limit. Below are some simple tips on how to manage your inventory:

Stash Items

V's primary method of storing items is via their Stash. If you find yourself carrying a surplus of weapons or clothing that you want to keep, consider dumping them into V's stash to free up your inventory space.

The Stash can be accessed from any of V's apartments or by opening the storage compartments of vehicles that you own. The Stash is a shared inventory, which means splitting loot between locations and vehicles will not be an issue.

How to Store Items

Update 2.0 has modified V's apartment stashes to also display all the Iconic Weapons from the base game, provided you have them stored in your stash. Now, those empty foam walls have a purpose: to display your spoils as a solo of Night City.

Sell Unwanted Items

If you feel like you have too many unwanted items in your inventory, sell them to a vendor or at a Drop Point. These are scattered all over Night City so you never have to worry about finding one.

Dismantle Items

Dismantling your items for crafting materials can also reduce your storage. To do this, go to your Inventory and highlight the item that you wish to dismantle. Then, hold the required button and this will break down the item into crafting materials.

Which Weapons Should You Keep?

High-Tier Weapons

Update 2.0 has revamped the rarity system, replacing it with a tier system that makes all weapon stats uniform when sharing the same item tier. It is recommended to keep high-tier weapons with you when progressing your game.

Not only are they powerful alternatives if you plan to shift builds midway through your playthrough, but they also sell really well compared to clothing items and junk items in the new patch.

Iconic Weapons

Iconic Weapons are the only items players can upgrade in Update 2.0's crafting system. With the ability to scale with your character level (via upgrades) and their powerful unique effects, Iconic Weapons are best stored and used well into Cyberpunk 2077's endgame.

Which Clothing Items Should You Keep?

Iconic and Named Clothing Items

For clothing, you can freely sell any clothing you want as they are no longer tied to the Armor stat as of the 2.0 update. We recommend only keeping the following clothing items to preserve immersion:

• V's Favorite Clothes - You can keep these clothing pieces for sentimental reasons.
• Iconic Clothes - Keep these since most are tied to the main story beats of Cyberpunk 2077, including Samurai vintage tees and David's Jacket from the Edgerunners anime.
• Clothes With Modifiers - Some clothing items will still offer bonuses to armor, reload speed, quickhack upload speed, and the like. Keep them around to optimize your build during the endgame.
