Diablo 4 Collabs With DOOM: The Dark Ages for Season 12
Cosmetic Rewards and Transmogs
Diablo 4 launches the Season of Slaughter from March 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET to April 26, ushering in assorted limited-time cosmetics derived from the action shooter title developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks, DOOM: The Dark Ages. Season 12 offers players Diablo 4's "most expansive earnable Reliquary yet," spanning across both free and paid crossover content, according to developer Blizzard Entertainment.
The DOOM collaboration event introduces a free Event Reliquary, allowing players to unlock up to 10 cosmetics using Dark Ages Currency, which drops from Elite and Champion monsters. Upon collecting all rewards, the Forsaken Gates Town Portal cosmetic will be granted to the player. Meanwhile, defeating Lair Bosses may drop a DOOM Chest, which holds Unique weapons reimagined with the Crucible blade aesthetic from DOOM.
Continuing the lineup of freebies, three different emblems can be secured via the in-game Shop: "Dark Before the Dawn" on March 11, "Grandeur of the Gutted" on March 13, and "Rip and Tear" on March 15, all of which become available at 12:00 PM PT / 3:00 PM ET on their respective dates.
Unlock Premium Cosmetics, Mount, and Pet

Apart from the free rewards and unlockables, several cosmetics and skins are available for purchase in the in-game Shop starting on March 12 at 12:00 PM PT / 3:00 PM ET. Each character class has its own DOOM armor skin purchasable for 2,500 Platinum ($24.99), while the collective DOOM Slayer Armor Pack for all seven classes is priced at 5,700 Platinum ($49.99).
Other paid items during the collaboration include the Mecha Dragon Serrat skin for the cat mount and a new Cacodemon pet. The Mecha Dragon Serrat is the Doom Slayer’s mount in DOOM: The Dark Ages, whereas the Cacodemon is one of the enemy monster types across DOOM games.
Season 12 Builds Up to The Lord of Hatred Expansion

Aside from collaborating with the latest entry in the DOOM franchise, Season of Slaughter offers players a glimpse of the next major update coming this April. From March 11 to 18, players can access a free trial of the Paladin class from The Lord of Hatred expansion up to Level 25.
Based on the 2.6.0 Public Test Realm (PTR) patch notes released last January, Blizzard intended Season 12 to be the "more focused, streamlined season" leading to The Lord of Hatred expansion launching on April 12, which explains why it is much shorter than the usual three-month seasons in Diablo 4. Nonetheless, despite serving as a "bridge" to the said expansion, the developers ensured that it would still deliver "a fresh, rewarding and fun experience for players."

Season of Slaughter has players temporarily take the form of one of the game's elite bosses, The Butcher. Transformation into the "iconic adversary" activates the Killstreak System, which was last seen in Diablo 3. By defeating enemies in rapid succession before the Killstreak timer ends, players can reach five distinct tiers: Killstreak, Carnage, Devastation, Bloodbatch, and Massacre. The total number of slain enemies dictates the seasonal reputation and experience gained by the player. "The bigger the slaughter, the better the bonus," Blizzard's announcement reads.
Diablo 4 is an action RPG currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below!
