This is a guide on how to respec perks and attributes in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. Learn how to respec your character's perk and attribute points as of Update 2.0!
List of Contents
The 2.0 update allows you to freely respec your perk points at any time. This enables you to experiment with available perks for a specific attribute, making it easy to switch if a particular perk doesn't benefit your gameplay. To learn how to respec your perks, follow the steps below.
To start respeccing your perks, open the menu and access the Character sheet to access your attributes. This will also display the available perk points that can be used to unlock perks for each attribute.
Hover over the attribute associated with the perk you want to refund. Once you're on the Perks Screen, just select the attribute you wish to remove. This will refund your perk points, which can then be used to unlock perks from any other attribute.
After the 2.0 Update, Perk Points can now be refunded and redistributed for free as you respec. To refund a perk, hover over one of your acquired perks (marked yellow), and hit the corresponding button shown in the tooltip to refund your spent Perk Point.
Unfortunately, there is no Refund All button. Players will need to manually refund each acquired perk if they plan to edit or rework their entire build.
Loading the save of a character from earlier versions of the game will automatically refund their Perk Points due to numerous gameplay changes implemented by Update 2.0.
To check if you have the 2.0 update installed, go to your existing save's Character Menu. A tutorial mentioning that all Perk Points and Attribute Points were reset should show up.
After receiving the refunded perk points, you can freely choose and use other perks that you have yet to try, even those from different attributes. All unlockable perks will be indicated with a pale blue color. Hover over any available perks and select the one you want to unlock.
2.0 Perks and Skill Tree Guide
The 2.0 update also allows you to respec all your attributes, but only once per gameplay. Make sure to carefully plan your builds before you start resetting your attributes and respec. To learn how to respec your character's attributes and skill points, simply follow the steps below.
To begin, open your menu and select the character screen to view all your attributes. You can do this with any of your save files, so be sure to load the one you want to start with before you respec.
Once you have accessed your character menu, click on the Reset Attribute
button below to reset all your attribute points to default.
After pressing the Reset Attribute
button, you can now freely respec your character's attributes and skill points. Remember that you can only do this once, so make sure to plan out how you want to reallocate your attribute points before proceeding.
Best Attributes | How to Best Customize Attributes
Update 2.0 allows players to reset their attributes at least once per playthrough. To reset your attributes, go to the Character Tab and hit the Reset Attributes button at the bottom left of the screen.
Remember that you can only do this once, so make sure you have your next build planned (or make a separate save first) before refunding your points!
Attributes can't be respecced normally but, due to the sweeping changes made to Perks and Cyberware, CDPR has provided 1 free attribute point respec for new and returning players.
Massive changes have been implemented to perks, cyberware, and combat in the 2.0 update. Players should respec in order to get a feel for the new builds available via the reworked systems of the game.
If your old build no longer works in the current update, respec, theorycraft using the official build planner, and learn your new build to get a feel for this much more polished version of Cyberpunk 2077.

Should rename the article to perk respec only. The name is rather clickbaity with the attribute mention since there is no way to do so currently. Should have just said it's not possible to respec attributes and not make it seem like it IS possible in the title.
