The Vow of Riju is obtained by clearing the Lightning Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). This guide will explain how to use the Vow of Riju, and how to Summon Riju.

How to Use the Vow of Riju
Press A to Summon a Lightning Field
Interact with the avatar and press A to create a field of lightning. This will envelop the current area with electric charges that can force a lightning to strike down when using bow attacks.
Can Create Powerful Lightning Strikes
Hitting an area within the lightning field can force a lightning strike on impact. This lightning strike can hit multiple enemies on impact which can help you clear out monster camps efficiently. This only works with bow attacks. Other ranged attacks like throwing will not spawn a lightning strike.
Can Also Outline Terrains
The Lightning Field can also help you explore dark areas like the Depths as it can outline nearby mounds or walls within the range. This will allow you to see any obstacles along the way and avoid any dead ends. However, the lightning field spreads out slowly and might need to take a little time to envelop the area of coverage.
Riju Fights Automatically in Battle
Riju will automatically attack enemies in any active battles. She will use her scimitars to attack enemies consecutively.
How to Summon Riju
Summon or Dismiss Riju from the Key Items Menu
To summon or dismiss the avatar of Riju, open your inventory and look for the Vow of Riju under Key Items. From here, you can choose to either summon or dismiss Riju.
Will Be Summoned By Default
The avatar of Riju will be summoned by default upon the acquisition of the vow. You can only dismiss it in your inventory using the same process above.
Does Not Appear in Settlements
Like other Vows, Riju will not show up when you are in settlements, including the area in Gerudo Town where you first receive it after the Lightning Temple. This means that you should first leave any settlement and head into an open world area in order for Riju to show up and aid you.
How to Upgrade the Vow of Riju
Exchange 4 Sage's Wills to Receive the Solemn Vow of Riju
You can exchange 4 Sage's Wills to any Goddess Statues found across Hyrule to upgrade the Vow of Riju into the Solemn Vow of Riju, which increases the sage's attack power.
Upgrading the vows does not reduce the cooldown of their skills nor gain any additional effects. This might be a little underwhelming for most, but at least they get stronger in fights!

Obtained After Completing Riju of Gerudo Town
Completing the Lightning Temple and finishing the Main Quest, Riju of Gerudo Town, will reward Link with the Vow of Riju, Sage of Lightning.
