If you have an existing Breath of the Wild save file on your console, you can transfer all the registered horses you have from that game. No need to do anything special. You can get your horses the first time you visit any stable!
This is a very convenient feature as this allows you to use better horses at the beginning of your adventure, saving you a lot of time from catching and taming wild ones.
Stable Locations and How to Tame Wild Horses
Any horses you transfer will also carry their bond levels over. This will save you a lot of time from taming wild horses as any transfer you make will not reset anything back to zero.
It is important to note, that it seems horses registered on a file from Master Mode will not carry over. This means that only horses from your base save will transfer over, and if you only played Master Mode, you will not start off with any horses.
