Most Likely Not, But Will Probably Be the Last BoTW Styled Game in a While

Tears of the Kingdom - Zelda and Mysterious Zonai Man
As the Zelda series is one of the renowned flagship franchises of Nintendo and has a storied history in gaming, it is hard to imagine that Nintendo will just end the franchise with this entry as the series is one of the most successful franchises in all of gaming.

So far, there have been no official announcements that this game will be the last entry to this beloved franchise but this could be the last entry with this style of gameplay introduced in Breath of the Wild in a while, as Nintendo tends to experiment with the Zelda gameplay formula for most of the games.

Tears of the Kingdom - Is He Demise

It is speculated that this will be one of the most crucial entries in the franchise based on what we learned so far like the return of Ganondorf, Master Sword being broken for the first time and the Zonais having a more active role in the story.

We also suspect the return of the main antagonist of the first game in the timeline, Demise. His possible return has a lot of implications for the story and fans are already making theories regarding how his possible return might impact the fate of Hyrule.

We speculate that Tears of the Kingdom's placement is at the furthest point in the known timeline and is also set before Skyward Sword.

Some fans also speculate that this game might combine all three different timelines within the series, thus adding more weight to the possibility of this game being the most crucial within the series.
