Find the Fifth Sage is unlocked after defeating Princess Zelda's impostor inside Hyrule Castle, which is encountered during the Crisis at Hyrule Castle Main Quest. Report back to Purah after the fight to unlock this quest.

Gather Clues about the Fifth Sage's Whereabouts

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - fast travel to Makasura Shrine

The objective pointer just marks the location where the quest is triggered, so you have to find the next destination yourself (or you can also follow this guide).

To start, fast travel to Makasura Shrine in Kakariko Village and find Paya and Tauro at the north gate.

Talk to them about the Ring Ruins to trigger the Secret of the Ring Ruins main quest, which you will need to complete to progress this quest.
