The Snowquill Set is the Best Cold Resistant Armor

TOTK - Snowquill Set

The Snowquill Set provides the highest resistance against the cold out of all the cold resistant armors in the game.

It also grants the Unfreezable armor effect when all pieces are fully upgraded, which is useful when fighting frost enemies as they won't be able to freeze you while this effect is active.

Fuse Rubies to Weapons

Tears of the Kingdom TOTK - Using Ruby-fused Weapons

Besides adding fire elements to attacks when fused to a weapon, a Ruby also gives off warmth whenever you are holding a weapon fused with it.

This is useful when exploring in mildly cold regions where you don't want to lose your equipped armor's bonuses and still survive the temperature.

Do note that this is less effective in areas where the temperature drops to the lowest, and equipping armor is a better choice.

Cold Resistance Effects

Grants Protection from the Cold

Zelda TotK - Grants Protection from the Cold
Cold Resistance allows you to withstand low and freezing temperatures when exploring colder environments such as the snowy mountains of the Hebra and Gerudo Highlands regions, as well as the harsh climate of Gerudo Desert at night.

Useful When Fighting Against Frost Enemies

It's also useful when fighting enemies that have the ability to freeze such as the Frost Gleeok as it makes Link unfreezable against all forms of ice attacks.
