Use a Stone Axe to Chop Down Trees

You can use a Stone Axe to repeatedly hit a tree to chop it down. The fallen tree becomes a log that you can use for Ultrahand contraptions.

Fuse a One-Handed or Two-Handed Weapon with a Stone to get a Stone Axe

If you cannot find a Stone Axe nearby, you can fuse any one-handed weapon or a two-handed weapon with a stone to obtain a Stone Axe.
