Kochi Dye Shop Guide: How to Recolor Armor

The Kochi Dye Shop in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) can help you recolor your armor to any color you desire. Read on to learn how to recolor armor, the list of armor that can be dyed, items that can be used as dyes, and how to change paraglider designs in Kochi Dye Shop.

Talk to Sayge

For 20 Rupees, you can get your armor recolored at the Kochi Dye Shop in Hateno Village. Simply look for Sayge to avail his services.

Wear Everything You Want to Dye

Before the process starts, you can change the armor you're currently wearing. You can mix and match any headpiece, armor, and trousers to recolor all at once.

Make sure to only wear the pieces you want to recolor and remove anything do not want to be recolored.

Choose Your Preferred Color

After selecting the armors you want to recolor, you can proceed to color selection. However, you can only choose one color as it is impossible to recolor each armor differently. To do that, you can start another session after.

Prepare Materials with Matching Colors

Color availability will depend on the materials you have on hand. For example, if you want to have your armor recolored to red, you will need five apples or five of any red materials you have in your inventory. You can mix and match these materials just as long as they share the same color!

Not All Armors Can Be Recolored

Unfortunately, not all armors can be recolored. Sayge will let you know if you're wearing something he cannot dye. However, you can still proceed with the process, even if you only have one acceptable armor on you.

Recolor Removal

Alternatively, if you end up not liking the recolor, you can ask Sayge to remove the dye for you. This will also cost you 20 Rupees.

How to Change Paraglider Design

Ask Sayge for a Rework

You can also rework your paraglider at the Kochi Dye Shop. For 20 rupees, you can redesign your paraglider with the fabrics you have on hand.

Choose a Fabric Design

Depending on the fabrics you've obtained, you will be presented with options for your redesign. Choose the one you want to try and you will immediately see it an action after picking.

You can get more designs from completing quests like Photographing a Chuchu and from scanning amiibos.

All Paraglider Designs

Check Your New Paraglider

Once you've picked out a good design, you will immediately see your reworked paraglider as Sayge sends you up in the sky. This is a good way to see if you actually like the design you picked, and if not, you can just dive back down to the shop after to get another design.
