Using water attacks like Splash Fruit will remove Sludge Like's protective coating, making it possible to hit its weak spot.

Sidon's Ability Works Best to Remove Sludge

Use Sidon's water shield ability, then attack to deal water damage that removes all sludge from Sludge Like. You can also attack from afar to create a long-range wave slash.

Water Attacks Also Remove Environmental Sludge

Sludge Like spews sludge around the area, which can slow your movement down. Wash away these sludge puddles with water attacks, Sidon's ability, or even a Zonai Hydrant

Hit Its Central Weak Spot

Sludge Like will expose its weak spot when it's preparing to do a grab attack. Hit its weak spot with an arrow before it has a chance to gobble you up. Then, beat into the weakspot with melee attacks when it's stunned.
