Where is Daruk

Yunobo is being speculated as the Goron champion's successor because of his role in helping Link in the previous title that was similar to the role of the other successors in helping Link. Yunobo can also use Daruk's Protection, a skill Daruk used to have and was passed on to Link after defeating Fireblight Ganon inside Goron City's Divine Beast, Vah Rudania.

The Zora, Gerudo, Rito, Goron and Hylian races each have a champion that was chosen to fight off against evil. We see the Hylian champion, Link, and the other successors, Sidon, Riju, and Tulin in the final trailer except for the Goron.

Some might say that there is currently no successor for Daruk, the previous Goron champion, since no recurring Goron character from the previous game was found in the trailer. We speculate that there is in fact a Goron successor with the presence of the Boulder Breaker, which is the weapon wielded by Daruk when he was champion.
