Tulin of Rito Village | ・Heart Container ・Vow of Tulin, Sage of Wind |
The Wind Temple is found at the Hebra Mountains Sky region of the Sky map, found way above Hebra and the Rito Village. The Temple is a giant floating ship enclosed inside the giant snowstorm cloud above the region.
Simply teleporting to a sky island near the dungeon will not be enough as you need to progress through the Tulin of Rito Village main quest, which has you follow the Rising Island Chain sky islands and jump across the sky using the floating ships which are encircling the storm cloud.
Prepare armor, meals, and elixirs that give you Cold Resistance as the weather inside the temple is chilly!

The Fire Temple is located deep below the area near Goron City, way down at Eldin Canyon Depths.
The dungeon, which resembles a long-lost underground Goron mining site, is located at the Depths, and can be reached by progressing through the Yunobo of Goron City main quest.
To reach the Fire Temple, you need to take on a short journey to the Depths during the main quest to reach the dungeon. Wear the Flamebreak Armor to protect yourself from the searing heat of this Temple!

Sidon of the Zora | ・Heart Container ・Vow of Sidon, Sage of Water |
The Water Temple is located above Zora's Domain at the Lanayru Sky Archipelago. The dungeon is a set of floating islands, and you need to progress through the Sidon of the Zora main quest and travel along the Floating Scales and Wellspring sky islands to reach the Temple.
The dungeon itself features what seems like low gravity, and you can leap high and reach places you won't be able to get to with a normal jump.
The Water Temple has several waterfall platforming puzzles, so it is recommended to wear the Zora Armor all the time to easily swim up waterfalls.

Faron Grasslands Depths (Depths Map) |
Guidance From Ages Past | ・Heart Container ・Vow of the Fifth Sage |
The Spirit Temple is located in the Faron Grasslands Depths. You will need to progress through the Guidance From Ages Past Main Quest to get to the location directly.
Your long journey through the Spirit Temple requires the help from the mechanized Sage of Spirit, Mineru. You will come across puzzles that requires the use of Zonai Devices as well, so it's best to bring some before trying to get to the temple!
# | Temple | Reasons |
---|---|---|
1 | Wind Temple | Vow of Tulin is useful almost anywhere. The boss and the quest are also easy to beat and clear. |
2 | Lightning Temple | Vow of Riju is best in terms on combat, as it infuses your arrow with lightning that can hit multiple enemies at once. The boss is easy to beat, but you'll encounter it twice. |
3 | Fire Temple | Vow of Yunobo is useful for exploration, but the quest is hard to finish because of its hard-to-navigate area. The boss is also hard to beat. |
4 | Water Temple | Vow of Sidon is only useful in rare scenarios. The boss is a bit difficult to beat as well. |
The widely-requested and fan-favorite dungeons are back in Tears of the Kingdom in the form of Temples. These unique locations have multi-layered maps, each offering challenging puzzles that you need to solve to progress.
Temples are tied to Main Quests from the four main regions in the game, and feature a special boss fight at the end after clearing the dungeon.
The Temples, which are tied to their respective Main Quests, have no set order, so you can take on whichever dungeon you'd like to explore. You can even leave the Temple midway through if you want to take a breather from all the puzzle-solving!
Temples not only feature puzzles but also treasure chests for those who know where to look. These are scattered around the dungeon and can be accessed by solving simple puzzles.
