Light Dragon Dinraal Farosh Naydra

Light Dragon

Unlike the other dragons, the Light Dragon's flight path takes place only on the surface area and the only dragon to fly all over several settlements and points-of-interests in Hyrule.

It will fly in a circular loop on the edges of the map and at a much higher altitude than the rest of the dragons, reaching all the way up the Sky region.

If you haven't finished the Recovering the Hero's Sword, it would be best to hold it off since the quest tracks the exact location of the Light Dragon as the Master Sword is found on top of her head.

Dinraal Dragon

Dinraal's path on the surface begins by emerging from the East Akkala Plains Chasm, right beside the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower in the Akkala Highlands region, and will fly across the northern coastline all the way to the Drenan Highland Chasm.

If you follow it in the Depths, you'll find that it'll also take the exact same route as the one on the surface level.

Farosh Dragon

Farosh's path begins at the Gerudo Desert region, specifically at the East Gerudo Chasm. It'll make its way to Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower before making a quick turn to cross the Lake Hylia until it arrives at Hills of Baumer Chasm to enter the depths.

Once underground, it'll take a route along the southern border of Lake Hylia all the way back to the East Gerudo Chasm.

Naydra Dragon

Naydra can be seen coming out of the Naydra Snowfield Chasm near the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower in the Mount Lanayru region.

Once on the surface, it will fly down to the coast of Necluda Sea before making its way west towards the Meda Mountain, before finally heading north all the way to East Hill Chasm to enter the depths.

Upon entering the depths region, it will directly hover east all the way back to Naydra Snowfield Chasm and re-emerge out of it to follow the same surface route again.

Farming Methods

Board Dragons

Zelda TotK - Boarding Dragons
In Tears of the Kingdom, it is now made possible to land on dragons to easily farm materials. All you need to do is use skytowers and navigate your way towards the dragon through paragliding.

Respawning Materials

Once you have taken all the materials you need, you can keep boarding the dragon to force a respawn. You only need to wait ten minutes real-time to do this. Keep in mind that opening any menu to pass time will not work.

Wait Near Chasms

Zelda TotK - Naydra Entering East Hill Chasm
With the exception of the Light Dragon, all dragons will follow certain routes that passes through the Depths, which means that they will enter and exit through chasms to complete their loop. Waiting near chasms allows you to get a closer encounter with dragons without flying, allowing you to hit it before it fully enters the Depths.
