You will encounter Marbled Gohma at the Fire Temple, which can be accessed by progressing through the Yunobo of Goron City main quest.
Yunobo of Goron City Walkthrough
Phase 1 | Phase 2 |
|
Marbled Gohma will become vulnerable and reveal its weak spot after you damage two of its legs using Yunobo's Charge attack. Yunobo will aslo give a signal for when Link can climb on the Marbled Gohma.
When Marbled Gohma falls to the ground, its eye will be exposed and vulnerable. Use a strong melee weapon to hit Marbled Gohma's eye to deal damage. Arrows can be used only if players have a strong enough bow.
Players can use a Hasty Elixir to help Link climb faster.
Marbled Gohma will occasionally throw down large balls that explode after a few seconds. Stay away from these to avoid damage.
Players can also use Sidon's Water shield to block the damge from the explosion.
|
For Phase 2, Marbled Gohma will stick to the ceiling. Yunobo will still be able to hit Marbled Gohma, so keep on using his Charge attack to hit the boss until it falls from the ceiling.
When Marbled Gohma falls, jump on its body once more and continue hitting its eye with a melee weapon or bow.
Use Yunobo's Charge or Link's Recall ability to destroy or remove the exploding balls that cage you in. Quickly remove at least one before all of them explode.
Recall Guide
Another way of knocking it off the ceiling other than using Yunobo is to fuse Keese Eyeballs or Aerocuda Eyeballs and shoot its eye while it is upside down.
The infused arrows will track its eye and it will cause it to fall to the ground, giving an opportunity for you to attack it with stronger melee weapons.
There are no curved walls in the arena where you'll attempt a rematch with Marbled Gohma, and this will prevent it from transitioning to its second phase. You'll be using Yunobo's Charge attack all throughout the fight.
|
This is a spread attack where the Marbled Gohma throws multiple exploding boulders in a spread. Players can use Yunobo's charged attack to destroy there boulders. Sidon's water shield will also keep Link from taking damage.
This attack is a variation of the Marbled Gohma's Boulder Throw. Instead of spreading its boulders the fire temple boss traps Link inside a circle of boulders like a tomb. Keep running around to avoid being trapped.
Players can also use Sidon's water shield to avoid any damage.
|
For most of the fight Link will be attacking the Marbled Gohma's eye using melee weapons. End the fight quickly by using strong fused weapons and attacking its weak spots.
Best Weapons and Shields and How to Get Them
The battle against the Marbled Gohma is all about dealing the most damage while the boss is in its weakened state. You can quickly climb on top of its body by drinking a Hasty Elixir.
How to Cook Hasty Elixir Recipe
Since the Fire Temple is located in a location with unbearable heat, players should prepare to use the Flamebreaker Armor set. This Armor set allows Link to walk in locations with unbearable heat without taking any passive damage.
How to Get the Flamebreaker Armor: Location and Stats
If players would prefer using their stronger armor, they can drink Fireproof Elixir to make them immune to taking damage from the heat. Keep in mind that its effects are temporary so bring a good amount of elixirs.
