Hit Mucktorok With Water While It's Swimming
The moment you see Mucktorok swimming, intercept it and hit it with a water-based attack, like the water slash you get from Sidon's shield, to stun it for a few seconds. Arrows fused with Chuchu Jelly or water weapons fused with an Opal also work well. Then, quickly get in as many hits as you can. Keep on hitting the stunned Mucktorok with water until it sheds its slime.
Chase Down Mucktorok's True Form
When Mucktorok reveals its true form, which looks like an octopus, immediately chase it down and beat it up with melee attacks. Repeat this process until Mucktorok gets down to half health and transitions to its second phase.
Always Use Sidon's Water Shield
Always have Sidon's water shield around you, to deflect any sludge attacks you're unable to avoid. This makes the fight several times easier.
Get Behind Mucktorok's Sludge Stream
Mucktorok will occasionally attack with a stream of muck that sweeps the whole area. You can run behind it to get a few hits in, you can jump over it, or you can let Sidon's water shield deflect it.

Remove Sludge with Water Attacks
In phase 2, Mucktorok will leave behind puddles of sludge that slow you down. Mucktorok will also use these puddles to skip across the stage to get far away from you. It's best to try to remove the puddles close to the center of the boss area, so use water-based attacks to clean them out.
Hit Mucktorok With Arrows While It's Escaping
Mucktorok will be difficult to chase after when it's skipping on the sludge puddles, so halt its progress by attaching an eyeball to your arrow, like a Keese Eyeball or Aerocuda Eyeball. You can also perform a slow-motion arrow shot in mid-air to shoot it down.
Beat Down Mucktorok Till Defeated
Use the same strategies as in phase 1 to defeat Mucktorok: Hit it while it's in it's shark form, and chase after it while it's in its octopus form. Being aggressive in this fight will make the battle go by quicker.
Mucktorok Rematch
Unlike in the main arena where it has low-gravity effects, your rematch with Mucktorok takes place in normal gravity. This will make it harder for you to jump over its attacks. How to beat Mucktorok is pretty much the same on how you first defeated it.
