Link's House: How to Build and Room Types

How to Unlock Link's House

Complete the Mattison's Independence Side Adventure

Talk to Rhondson or Hudson at Tarrey Town in the Akkala region to start the Mattison's Independence side adventure. Completing this side adventure unlocks the ability to buy a house in Tarrey Town and start the Home on Arrange side quest.

Complete the Home on Arrange Side Quest

After completing the side adventure, talk to Rhondson and she will offer you a plot of land and two bonus rooms in Tarrey Town for 1500 Rupees. Purchasing the lot starts the Home on the Arrange side quest.

How to Build Link's House

Place and Rearrange Rooms with Ultrahand

Use Ultrahand to move, rotate, and attach the rooms together. This gives you the opportunity to get creative and plan the layout of Link's house.

Rooms Must Fit Within the Roped Boundary

When building the house, you are limited to using the area within the roped boundary.

If you want to swap rooms, you can place the room you do not want to use outside of the rope boundary.

Limit of 15 Rooms

You can only put 15 rooms in Link's house. Make sure to plan carefully which room to add when planning the layout of the house.

After completing the Home on Arrange Side Quest, talk to Granteson and choose "I'll buy or preview rooms!" to see all room types that are available for purchase.

Room types that have bold in their descriptions indicate that these rooms have a functional purpose.

Square Room	Stock: 10 Price: 350	This room has four walls that can be connected to other types of rooms, making it ideal for expanding your home.
Furnished Square Room	Stock: 10 Price: 450	This room has four walls that can be connected to other types of rooms, making it ideal for expanding your home.
Weapon Stand Room	Stock: 3 Price: 600	This room is furnished with three weapon stands for you to display and store your favorite weapons.
Bow Stand Room	Stock: 3 Price: 600	This room is furnished with three bow stands for you to display and store your favorite bows.
Shield Stand Room	Stock: 3 Price: 600	This room is furnished with three shield stands for you to display and store your favorite shields.
Gallery	Stock: 3 Price: 400	This room has a frame suitable for hanging a painting. Show a picture to Granteson and he'll paint a replica of it for you.
Bedroom	Stock: 4 Price: 400	A room furnished with a bed. You can sleep soundly here to fill your hearts.
Kitchen	Stock: 5 Price: 400	The standout feature of this room is its cooking pot. Prepare delicious food to your heart's content.
Blessing Room	Stock: 5 Price: 400	A shrine complete with a Goddess Statue. You can pray to it for strength whenever you want.
Paddock	Stock: 10 Price: 400	A place where you can keep one of your registered horses. Granteson will contact the Stable Associate to bring the horse for you.
Foyer	Stock: 14 Price: 300	A simple unit with a door that can serve as an entrance or exit.
Study	Stock: 15 Price: 250	A compact room furnished as a study. It's a cozy space to spend quality time alone.
Indoor Stairs	Stock: 15 Price: 350	A set of stairs used to go up and down between floors. Useful if you want to expand beyond the ground floor.
Outdoor Stairs	Stock: 15 Price: 300	A simple set of stairs meant for the exterior of the house. For a different look, try flipping it upside down—the other side works as a stairway too!
Garden Pond	Stock: 15 Price: 300	An elegant, well-lit, L-shaped pond. Comes with a purchase bonus of a sanke carp. It can also be used without water, depending on how it's placed.
Flower Bed	Stock: 15 Price: 250	A garden unit that comes with a beautiful flower bed. Place it on top of a unit and you've got a rooftop garden!

What Happened to Link's House in Hateno Village

Zelda Redecorated the House's Interiors

Instead of a display of weapons from the previous game, the house's interiors has been redecorated to resemble a simple living room and kitchen space. The walls now include several photos, one of which resembles Zelda on a field of flowers.

Other Facilities Still Available

Although Zelda claimed Link's former house as her own, there are still facilities in the house that you can use as well as new additions.

Bed	・Sleep on the bed to restore hearts and pass the time.
Photo of the Four Champions	・A photo of Link and the four Champions will appear on the second floor if you have a Breath of the Wild save file and have completed a set of specific conditions from the previous game.
Cooking Pot	・Cook food and create elixirs or pass the time.
Zelda's Secret Well	・Access Zelda's secret room behind the house.
Zelda's Diary	・Read Zelda's Diary to learn the location of the improved Champion's Tunic.
Well-Worn Hair Band	・Pick up Link's hair band from Breath of the Wild.

You can find Link's Tarrey Town House south of the town near the Rasitakiwak Shrine in the Akkala region.
